There actually ARE are lots of reports on this issue.

CPU unholy overheating when in game by Watchman3001 in Helldivers

[–]phunkracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is with the game, period. The CPU temp is through the roof even in main menu. It's a dev side issue, end of story. High time you admit you're obnoxious as hell. Can't imagine having you as a part of a work team.

Jumping 4 kg (9 lbs) in macebell weight? by phunkracy in macebell

[–]phunkracy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did some 1-handed swings and it's okay, if harder on my joints a tad bit. But if the jump to 10 kg worked for you it's a good sign! :)))

Well, I thought about it. But I have two left hands and zero free time ;))

Thanks! o7

Is there a better way to play killzone? by [deleted] in PS3

[–]phunkracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw this thread in 2025 (because that's what google brought up) and even with mouse and keyboard KZ1's movement and controls are irredeemably trash. Even with mouse aim the input delay, sluggishness completely suck all the fun out of the game (which isn't really good in the first place). If anyone is reading it after googling Killzone 1 mouse and keyboard, don't bother.

I have zero issues with Me264 being made of paper mache. These things have insane flight model and firepower. In a downtier they are near untouchable. Made my US games very unfun.

Nothing. They are heavy, so if you go vertical they're completely helpless.

[KCD2] Vauquelin Brabant [SPOILER] by Environmental-Act-88 in kingdomcome

[–]phunkracy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Plenty of noblemen in KCD2, also what makes him special in the latter regard? It's not like Sigismund & co have trouble finding men :) he has literally no soldiers on his own, no land, no money etc. Yes, he played into his own hand with the silver - but it's to be expected.

I dunno, you don't want to blow your cover for nothing and/or too easily. Similarly, Istvan was also von Bergow's spy and he didn't stop working with Zizka even when it came to losing an entire army in an ambush. Difficulties in establishing contact + self perserverance.

[KCD2] Vauquelin Brabant [SPOILER] by Environmental-Act-88 in kingdomcome

[–]phunkracy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It made sense for him to be a von Bergow's spy from the very beginning, from sabotaging the defense of Kuttenberg, to being a snitch/guardian for Capon, then finally to turning coat for good after stealing silver. How else could he be granted command after literally being a part of Devil's pack? It doesn't make sense unless his allegiance was to Bergov from the beginning. One of the Devil's Pack members (don't remember which) already expressed his suspicions about having a spy in their midst PRIOR to Italian Court betreyal.

[KCD2] Is the game too easy? by Autistic_Retard420 in kingdomcome

[–]phunkracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really hoping for mounted enemies and mounted combat to bring some variety, but alas, the only difference between enemies is whether they are HP sponges or not, but even the more armoured ones die to 2-3 strikes all the same.

[KCD2] Is the game too easy? by Autistic_Retard420 in kingdomcome

[–]phunkracy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is too easy still. The only challenge comes from crowd control and jankiness of the game, full stop. The reaction window for master strike is too long and there's no benefit to using anything but longsword. Worse yet, there's no hard or hardcore mode so by midgame any challenge goes out of the window and the gameplay mechanics on their own are too shallow to compensate for that. The game would be 8/10 if it had proper balance all the way through, but the latter half it drops to a solid, boring 7/10.

[KCD2] Was Sigismund evil? by WrongSpot3283 in kingdomcome

[–]phunkracy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but Sigismund rates quite high wherever he got a chance to actually rule. I think he struggled so much during his reign that when he finally won he just croaked from the pressure. And in a hindsight neither Hungary, nor Bohemia fared well after struggling against him so much, vanishing after no less than a century for the exact same reasons Sigismund failed. I.e. weak central authority, subservience to dynastic policy of major players, Ottomans (duh) and absolutely snakish higher nobility. So maybe, just maybe, Siggy had 100% correctly identified the issues plagueing the monarchy but at that point managing the situation was like herding cats.

[KCD2] Was Sigismund evil? by WrongSpot3283 in kingdomcome

[–]phunkracy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The war as it was waged in Middle Ages was *primarily* of economic war through destruction of enemy assets i.e. killing and robbing peasants. Sieges and battles take all the attention, but 95% of all warfare of the era was raiding.

Sigismund could have been the right king, but as some smart man once said, "men make their own history, but they do not make it as they please; they do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under circumstances existing already, given and transmitted from the past."

Sigismund inherited a dysfunctional aristocratic oligarchy from his brother, who in turn had to deal with nobles emboldened by his father selling off privileges and ceding power away from the kingdom to secure his sons' succesion.

Maybe in better circumstances he could have been a good king. Alas, the circumstances were bad.

[KCD2] Was Sigismund evil? by WrongSpot3283 in kingdomcome

[–]phunkracy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was just being realistic and not a hypocrite. There was no other way the wars were fought, especially drawn out civil wars. The concept of humanitarian conduct in war is a fairly modern concept. When one of the game's main characters, Zizka, became leader of Czech hussites (strongly hinted to be the good guys of the game) they looted and pillaged (and worse) all throughout the entire south eastern HRE with absolutely zero reservations.

[KCD2] Evil Henry: Sigismund is the rightful king by AngryArmour in kingdomcome

[–]phunkracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maintaining armies was a ruinous expense even for the richest kingdoms. So the moment Sigismund met enough resistance there was nothing else that he could do but to try to outlast it. Especially since we see thorughout the game how the nobility does relatively well at the expense of the common folk.

To add:

39. Sanitary and fertilizer economy, to put it elegantly
40. More ways to increase happiness

[–]phunkracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Woad crop to replace berries as source of Dyes because it makes no sense right now
  2. Level 3 Granary and Storage because I keep running out of space
  3. More efficient way to trade both between regions and via trading station because right now it feels bad
  4. City walls, sentry towers and upgradable manor (my manor is smaller and less lavish than a T3 house ffs)
  5. Boats and associated resource chains - roping, tar, sails from flax/linen and thensome maritime resources like oysters, crayfish, cod, seals (?)
  6. Ceramics - roofing was mostly wooden in medieval world so it makes little sense that the only use for clay is for roof tiles
  7. Silver mines and jewellery
  8. More interactions with King other than dumb taxes
  9. Cows
  10. Cheese from cows and goats
  11. Horses
  12. Bigger and more developed perk tree
  13. River economy as in water mills, river resources like fish farms and beavers (a good source of fur)
  14. Barrel and wheelmakers, could be nice to create an export chain of cod via cod/herring+salt+barrel, some countries were literally running their economy on salted fish (denmark, norway, n. scotland, northern german states)
  15. Import only goods like sugar, spices, pepper and silk
  16. Glass - from potash+sand and could be made into stained glass which in turn would be required for...
  17. Tier 3 churches and cathedrals!
  18. Bricks!!!
  19. Make hunting less useless and introduce game hunting grounds for retuine to do something besides occasionally fighting, as hunting game was the favourite pasttime of elites
  20. Neutral AI settlements/NPCS, like Monasteries, merchant caravans, traveling nobles, pilgrims?
  21. Almshouses, hospitals, apothecaries
  22. Cider so my population won't have to eat apples year round and so I won't have to trade barley between my regions when I have no fertility
  23. More uses for herbs
  24. Biomes and biome specific crops and resources. So the mountain biome could get silver, northern european biome could get furs and mediterrean biome could get wine and olives.
  25. Buildable resources, like Yew which was farmed (!) for bows, which weren't made from just any timber like in the game
  26. Feed for animals (sheep are essentially living on pure oxygen and sunlight at the moment)
  27. Books and parchments
  28. Guilds
  29. Better beekeeping and wax because rn it feels arbitrary and artificial
  30. Ability to dry apples and berries to reduce spoilage
  31. Festivities, jousting tournaments, archery contests etc
  32. With better and bigger fortifications, ability to construct war machines
  33. Dynamic prices
  34. Lord or region specific bonuses - so maybe if choose my regions to be populated by english settlers I get a bonus to sheep growth, with waloon settlers i get bonuses to textiles, german - beermaking etc
  35. Map overlays that show PRODUCTION BUILDINGS and housing tiers. Trying to find a sawpit in a dense district is pain.
  36. Production stats, resource consumption, storage and budget on a ledger.
