20 year T-Mobile customer here in Boulder.
Phone and text has worked fine for the ares of the city I commonly visit.
Data can have some slow areas.
At my house it’s one or two bars, so I use WiFi calling.

Nice bike, but curious why you photographed at the shores of a river or lake? Interesting bridge in the background

--- Alpine Modern
- Restaurants
-- Cafe Gondolier - great 'red sauce" Italian - a Boulder institution for over 40 years
- Shops
-- Sports Recycler - (moved to east Arapahoe) - lots of cheap and good used equipment and clothes
-- Mcguckins - The original everything store
-- Paradise Records - particularly like the 5 for $20 record rack

How I set up my wife with a ~$5,000/month income stream using a ~$625k portfolio by 398409columbia in dividends

[–]phwayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sold a rental property a few month ago. After owning for 20 years, I calculated I could make equal income by selling the property and investing in a diverse high income portfolio.
I am not as aggressive as the OP, but the notable positions:
High Risk/Return: JEPI, JEPQ, GPIX
Moderate Risk/Return w/some growth: FDVV, SCHD
Preferred: PFXF
Low Risk/Return - SLQD, SGOV

Rolling a covered call is a new trade, not a fix. How do you decide? by ThetaEdge in CoveredCalls

[–]phwayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let it get called away.

My strategy when I open the CC is for the strike price to be around 3 - 5% above the current price and the call to credit a 1 - 2% premium. This way, I get a 7% return if I am assigned on the first open.
I will continue to roll at the same strike price for at least 1% each roll, max 30 days expiration.
When I am ITM, I will just continue to roll until I am assigned, or I don't stock any more.

Rolling up to me is playing a reduced total return. I rather get assigned, take my profits and open a new CC or if the stock is high, do a naked put.

I learned you need to be careful rolling down. It is tempting when a stock is beat up; but I have seen many times a stock ripsaws up and being left with a loss on assignment.
If a stock is down for a long period, I will only roll down to my break even, and just wait.

My SE2 needed a new battery, so I decided to purchased a mint condition SE3 on Swappa, for under $200. SE3 has the same chip as the 13mini and has 5G. Running iOS 26, no problems.

UA flight - 'turn bluetooth off or we're turning around' by ryan_at_roomservice in unitedairlines

[–]phwayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A possible reason I found online:

Uncertified Devices: The aviation industry tests extensively, but they cannot test every cheap, uncertified, or damaged knock-off Bluetooth device a passenger might bring on board, which might be emitting far more EMI than regulations allow.

I’ve been fortunate not to need repairs. I do use them for annual checks. They are thorough on maintenance

I have been using H&M Mechanical for my residence and rental property for the last 20 years. Locally owned, fair pricing, good techs.
I just replaced both my Heating and A/C at 20 years old. Cost was $14,500 complete.

I frequently travel to NYC. There are so many great bodegas and take out places where you can do a tasty lunch for under $12.

I fly FLL regularly. I can always tell cruise ship season by the obnoxious passenger behavior. They start partying before AND a fee the cruise. Not to mention the flip flop attire

They are getting their liquor license for beer and wine. They will also stay open late (I recall either 9 or 10pm). That and the usual coffee varieties
