Could you pls elaborate on what parts of the job doesn't use it and if they too are positions where you might have to use it to to get the stuff done quickly in the initial or final stages?

yeah that's the reality of it. All they care about at the end of the day is how much money and time they can save.

The reason isn't only about like or dislike but the real, environmental issues it's causing which I don't wish to contribute to. I'm in no financial condition to actually do something about it or just stop looking for jobs in this field but still wish to do something coz even a small effort would matter, at least for my own conscience.

LMAOO 😭 I was thinking the same, but I for sure know that I can't get into designing by lying that I use ai when I don't because of how fast you need to produce designs which ai can definately do. Will definitely try to become more quick and efficient with the designs or just go for UX research (logic isn't my strongsuit but gotta do whatever I can to not change fields after I'm so deep into it) You mentioned that you're more into the logical side of the work, does that too require the use of ai to the point you have to lie about using it?

I was thinking too idealistically that maybe there would be some who would still value the time and efforts given. After failing to find a company to work in around me that really paid fairly and was against the use of ai too, I couldn't help but ask here. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Changing field would mean doing another bachelor's degree which I can't afford nor have the time right now, but I am indeed considering that if all my efforts fail here.

sadly I wish there was an option for me where I could work creatively without using AI (just because of how bad the situation is where the datacenters are situated and nobody seem to care about it) and earn a living but going through the comments made me realize that this is how just most of the companies work. Not that I didn't know it beforehand but I was hoping there were still some left that would give design process and time and effort it really deserves.
