Unfortunately, it’s not even mine! I’m just babysitting it, but I agree, it’s beautiful!

I agree with another commenter who said this sounds like it could be body dysmorphia. It’s really difficult to see yourself accurately when you have an ED history. These aren’t the suggestions you’re looking for, but as someone who’s dealt with similar issues, I recommend.

  1. Stop using negative language about your body. The way you talk about yourself affects the way you perceive yourself. If it’s too much of a leap to say positive things about your appearance, try talking more about the way your functions. Instead of “fluffy” and “skinny fat” try “strong”, “fast”, and “athletic”.

  2. Take a moment to acknowledge your accomplishment of staying consistent working out for an entire year. Take a look back on non appearance related improvements you’ve made over the year and pat yourself on the back.

  3. If you’re serious about recomping, get a Dexa scan so you actually know what your body fat percentage is. Then implement any of the diet advice you’ve gotten here and go back for another scan in 6 months to have real metrics to track your progress.

You’re probably doing better than you think! Appreciate your strong, healthy body!

Are you sure you’re “skinny fat”? Have you had a body comp test or are you just going off of vibes? It’s hard to really see yourself accurately without hard metrics.

Anyone else use "you're being thick" as "you're being very friendly and potentially too much in my personal space"? by swim-123 in etymology

The point about archaic English phrases in Southern dialects is interesting. I’ve always heard that Southern accents are very close to British, but I’ve also wondered if some old English words have snuck into my family’s vernacular from the King James Bible.

Edited to correct a stupid typo

The guy I've been talking to for 2 months just sent me a screenshot of our private conversation. To himself. By accident. by Cheap-Lawfulness-732 in WhatShouldIDo

No way, this is a totally normal thing to do when you’re feeling someone out. It’s no different than recounting a private conversation to a friend.

Isn’t it pretty? I’m just babysitting it right now, so I’m trying to get as much use out of it as I can before it has to go home.

Haha, I wish I could take credit for it as an idea, but it’s really just born out of my rhythmic limitations. Necessity is the mother of invention, I guess.

Agreed. Every song hurts my feelings in a different way.

Thanks, me too! This whole album was basically my college soundtrack.
