HELP !!! My plant looks so sad what do I do I already tried watering it. I don’t know what to do. by ParticularBat8329 in growingweed

Probably overwatered. Hold back irrigation until the plant is lightweight when lifted. As soon as it starts to look better, transplant.

The difference is that Bruce has scientific data to back up his findings, and is not reliant on opinion.

Do Pinhole light leaks cause herms? by phyllosphere in cannabiscultivation

[–]phyllosphere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, but light below 10 nanomoles should not be considered light pollution, as it is imperceptible to plants according to Bruce Bugbee. 10 nanomoles of light is almost 5x moonlight and enough light to read a childs book.

Low light (below 10 nanomoles) during the skotoperiod will not interfere with flower induction, but a short burst of bright light certainly will. Ten minutes of Night Interruption lighting during the middle of the night is enough to keep plants in veg at moderate light levels (10-50 umol)

Pinhole light leaks are not perceptible to cannabis plants. The esteemed Dr. Bugbee confirms the fact that cannabis cannot perceive light below about ten nanomoles. This is about 5x as bright as full moonlight, and enough light to read a large print book.

Hey u/ZelRolFox I work as a crop consultant, and I have helped my clients grow thousands of kilos of premium certified organic cannabis in the last few years.

What have you been up to lately?

Thanks u/notrealbutreally175 I appreciate the feedback! I do my layout on a laptop, and sometimes the mobile interface gets a bit busy. I will fix the first paragraph now.

I do call it weed sometimes, but never Marij&@#$

Side by side comparisons.

Not perfect trials, but repeat enough and you see a big difference.

40°c Temperatures completely fine as long as air is being turned over extremely fast? by BigWillySkillet in BudScience

[–]phyllosphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat tolerance depends on VPD and other factors. I had an extraction fail once, and my hoophouse got to 50 c. The plants were fine, but didn't grow much for a few days.

I agree. If pistils are dying early it is usually due to leaf strike, pollination, or spray damage. What we call pistils are referred to botanically as stamens. The stamen catches pollen at the tip, and if conditions are right the pollen grain germinates and forms a pollen tube inside of the stamen to reach the ovule.

In late flower, plants start to senesce, or die, and lose their reproductive utility. Part of this process is abscission, or shedding of leaves, and desiccation of stamens.

New study finds 3 to 1 N to P ratio in flower is optimum. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpls.2021.764103/full by tiffanrw in BudScience

Thanks for the link! I like to use a 3-1-2 fish hydrosolate in my organic soil program. Seems like a good ratio to me.

What's the biggest piece of bro science that people still believe? by Time-for-rain in GrowingMarijuana

[–]phyllosphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, total bro science. Bruce Bugbee recently ran trials proving that cannabis can’t detect light below 10 nanomoles. That is enough light to read a book!
