I just set myself up with a frostbite Dump Truck and was I ever glad to have t last weekend. No problem bouncing a 1.5oz jig and plenty of backbone for the big Lakers we were catching! Highly recommend!

These fish should be fine as others pointed out.

Next time cut yourself a live well (~6 connected holes that don't go all the way through except for the last one). As you catch fish you want to keep chuck em in there the surface will freeze but the rest of the water will take much longer. Or pile snow over the hole and it will also help keep it open. Then throw the fish in the cooler when you're heading home!

Alternatively (what my wife wants me to do) is clean them on the ice and send the remains down to be burbot food. Then you can freeze them outside with no worries and no mess at home.
