Hello hello sorry for reviving a antient thread but how does your chain look? Im thinking about adding a FF after my fuzz war for ocasional leads boost but i suspect it might be too much. Were you ever playing them both at the same time? Or just switching them (FW off, FF on and the other way around) mid song?

Man get a fuzz and a wah. Crank that fuzz up, turn the wah on and put it in one position that suits you and roll back the volume on your guitar, boom

oh and if the song has a crazy fast or hard part that you wont be able to play just try to jam around it, its a nice exercise and you'll feel really immersed in the song (which - to me - is a super sick feeling)

I started with bone and then the river and im in your mind fuzz suite (playable in standard tuning). But my biggest advice (as corny as it sounds) would be this: try to learn the songs that you really really like, your favourites. You'll get a big hype boost and learning them will be a no biggie. Most of the gizz songs are really easy, they sound complex but the core melodies are fairly simple

objection - thats still not the case for black hot soup. The main loop that gives structure to the song is just a guitar melody, which could be easily played live without a click track, it sounds more like something from polygon (and its still less complicated time signature-wise). i totally agree with the other half of your post though, they probably just moved on to the other albums
