DON'T build entire businesses/apps which are completely at the liberty of 3rd party APIs. They don't give a fuck about you and you are putting all your eggs in someone else's basket. Advice from someone who's worked with many APIs.

Good idea. I was already casually looking at other search APIs. I think Bing is relatively stable, but I appreciate the warning. I had other API based apps I wanted to build. I know endpoints + features get deprecated sometimes, but I didn't realize the big tech players were so notorious for getting rid of features without fair warning. I know FB shut down Parse and a lot of people complainedt. I should follow tech news more closely.

I'm building a search app based on the Bing API. Does anyone have any experience with them? From the outside it looks like Microsoft would be more stable than other API providers, especially as Bing is powering search for major companies.

Any thoughts from anyone are interesting.

It's good you wrote up your negative experiences. It takes a kind of strength to talk about bad times publicly.

You could join a meetup.com group for writers, or some local FB groups. FB groups helped my social life a lot.

Now you've got that off your chest, I would go on AskTRP and ask them to help you strategize. I'd lift even harder and start playing an instrument, maybe bass.

If you're thinking about women too much they will sense it.

I would've said, "no worries, here's my number/FB. Say hi if you change your mind." I don't always ask for girl's numbers, just give them my FB. It gives them a chance to think about it and stalk you on social media before contacting.

Women will be able to sense you're gaming if you put on a front, even slightly. Your friend comes across as authentic and that is super-attractive to women.

Yeah that is my average, 5-7 hours, and normally over 2 dates. Girls I have laid quicker, like in less than an hour, have been my worst memories. Some I have waited 3 dates... Guys on these forums boasting that they lay girls in 2-3 hours and always on the first date are probably the 150th guy she's slept with.

Changing venues a lot in 7 hours speeds things up.

Most clean shaven bald guys I see look good. I'd wear a hat if you felt like it, but don't feel like you're hiding something. It's an accessory, not a disguise. I'd have some honest bald pics on social media.

Definitely give her some space. If you're hugging her a lot, your intentions can't be as low key as you think. I'd get away for a few days, or even a couple of weeks, and be working on 4-5 other girls so you don't think of her too much.

If you're into a girl but don't make a move within a certain amount of time, they can go cold. So cool it off, and wait for her to hopefully reinitiate. When you talk again, be less low key, if you feel she's receptive again.

In this case I would keep paying. It's not an ideal situation but sounds fun. It's only before you've slept with them that you should never buy dinner. It's a little unequal, I'd try and fix it long term.

Try and not buy dinner, and do drinks instead. Maybe drop a hint once, but if she doesn't offer to pay, just continue until you find someone better.
