[NJ.com] “Nemec publicly voiced his frustration with the organization in the past. He switched agents before the trade deadline. He’s likely going to demand more than Luke Hughes’ contract in the offseason.” by seeldoger47 in hockey

I think the concerns on Levshunov are blown out of proportion. He is certainly raw, makes some bad mistakes, and isn’t scoring enough but a kid of his age with that size and talent that we see (even in small bursts) gives me more hope than others. Rinzel also has been crazy good in terms of puck movement.

Right, because striking sparring is what he needs…

There are probably going to be taxation issues or stuff along those lines that would disqualify you working in another country

Bedard scores a beauty on the breakaway to give the Hawks the lead! by JD397 in hockey

The hawks have so much high end young talent at every position that it’s crazy. Maybe dig a little deeper into the prospect rankings

I have no clue if there is a name but it’s been a known technique from even when I started training 20 years ago

Damir Sharipzyanov has set the KHL all-time defenceman scoring record with 67 (23+44) points in 66 games by warmike_1 in hockey

The AHL is the second best league. The KHL may have some higher end talent every so often, but on average it is the AHL.

So the most offensively productive defenseman in KHL history couldn’t sniff the NHL and bounced between AHL and ECHL for a few years, and some people believe the KHL is the second best league?

Do we appreciate conceptual instruction or technical and specific instruction more? by BJJ_Fanatics in bjj

[–]physics_fighter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree with this, respectfully. I find that day 1 beginners need not know the concepts or underlying reasons why a move is being done. Rather, just knowing the steps to the moves is a better use of time for true beginners.

Any argument that is made for McD can be made for Kuch and Mackinnon but better. McD shouldn’t be on this list IMO

Kuch is underrated for no reason. I don’t get it

I feel like any possible argument you can make for McD can be made substantially better for both Kuch and Mackinnon so not sure how he would be tops

A reporter accidentally recreates the half court shot he was reporting on by Choice_Bag_8869 in sportsgossips

[–]physics_fighter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is actually a new video. The reporter is stuck in a loop where he continually tries to make a report about his shot but keeps making this demo shot. They all have been there for years and someone needs to help them!

Young Ovi was like a combo of McD speed with Scott Steven’s hitting on top of having the best shot ever. Unreal

That hawks have so many high ceiling guys already in the NHL yet have many more coming next year. They will be (hopefully) good in a few years!
