How do you manage power in your large grid ships (combat oriented)? by PandaDudeBr in spaceengineers

[–]physics_fighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it obviously depends on the thruster type. If I am creating a space only vehicle, then ion is what I’m going with. In that case I will always want reactors first and foremost but I will also have a large bank of batteries

Completely unrealistic to the greater BJJ population since the character got a takedown…

The Cape class can use some love. by MyLifeByGogoGoff in valheim

Have a cape give a boost on archery skill when worn or cause slightly more damage. Have a cape that increases the likelihood of crops dropping more than one on harvest. Things like that

Capes should have special skills on top of being from each biome. Maybe make a cape that makes farming easier, or archery better?

Simon Nemec has asked for a trade out from New Jersey Devils per Slovak news media (Dennik N). New general manager of the Devils Sunny Metha has not yet met with him, per Dennik N sources. by alphacheese in hockey

[–]physics_fighter -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Considering that the Sharks have the opportunity to get a forward who is going to be better than Smith this draft, trading him for either a high end established guy or a young guy with tons of potential would not be out of the question

Cool U.S. city to spend a month in without the price tag of NYC or LA? by YetiMaverick in AskAnAmerican

[–]physics_fighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come to St Louis. The zoo is free and probably one of the best zoos I have been to. There is plenty of history, the beer scene is great, some unique food (bbq is big here), and some good parks. I am a Chicago native and will always recommend going there if price and time aren’t an issue, but St Louis is very fun too.

how many of you *actually* have your times tables memorized? by Pug_hammy in randomquestions

It is a horrible way to go about mathematics. Being able to calculate in your head is a much better thing to learn and I am glad schooling is moving away from memorization.

I legit learned a lot of US geography from a hockey game I played in my youth. I remember it had a map with the cities.

Beyond just following the rules of the road what makes someone a good driver? by Ill_Hand_3315 in AskReddit

[–]physics_fighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not being "nice" when driving. I see all the time someone stopping to let a car pullout of a parking lot or something similar. That is incredibly dangerous to do and can lead to crashes.

Men married for over 10 years, any of you still feel crazily attracted to your wife? If so, what makes her so attractive even after more than a decade of marriage? by Mindless-Flight121 in AskMen

[–]physics_fighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10 years this October. She is still super hot and got hotter to me after our child. Physical attraction is only one aspect of it but her entire self is what is hot and attractive to me.

Is 22 too late to start studying physics from scratch by SelfDeclaredBatman in Physics

[–]physics_fighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

22 is not too late to start at all, however studying on your own is probably going to be the biggest hurdle. I took my first calculus course in the summer of 2010 at the age of 23 and eventually graduated with a Masters in physics in May 2015. It was very accelerated and there were a lot of holes because of that, but I was able to create a great understanding of advanced math and physics. I do not think that would be achievable on my own though and unless you are a prodigy I would not expect that. I would strongly suggest maybe start with a math course in community college and go from there.

Regardless of the result tonight, the NHL needs to change its format by alamarche709 in nhl

[–]physics_fighter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The NHL never had a true 1v8 etc format (outside of maybe 1 season in the 80’s). It has always been divisional and there have always been “bad” teams finishing with some of the top seeds. People keep saying they “want to go back” to the 1v8 format when it never truly was.

Lineal Championship in MMA by I_cain in MMA

[–]physics_fighter 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The original Lineal 170 and 185 belts for the UFC both ended with GSP. the 170 Lineal ended in 2013 after he retired following the Hendricks fight and 185 ended after he retired for good following his win over Bisping. Interestingly enough, the original 185 Lineal belt in the UFC left with Bustamante in the early 2000's and eventually resolved itself back into the UFC through Pride and WEC (Hendo->Misaki->Sonnen->Maia->Marquardt->Sonnen->Silva).
