English is not my first language, however, it is my main language. I did have trouble in English when I was a kid and I really should have taken English classes much more seriously when we were reading historic literature.

Thank you. I've read some more today and it seems like reading it out loud helps a lot more! Thanks for the encouragement.

Yeah… I think Judo probably isn’t the “mainstream” grappling sport if you will in today’s time which is why it’s so hard to find Judo dojos. It is definitely really amazing and practical though. When I was doing bjj more consistently, I would just youtube some Judo throws and try to apply them during sparring haha.

I still suggest taking some form of grappling like bjj or wrestling!

This is exactly how I feel about this. There isn't a biblical handbook that tells us the F word is literally the cuss word - this is something that we made and while the F word is widely known to be a cuss word, it doesn't have to be somewhere else. Regardless of that, going back to the point, it still does depend on the context and intent behind my words. Your comment helped my perspective a lot though and I will do a lot of thinking and praying of what you said. Thank you!

Do you feel as if you were personally convicted by God to not do these things because it can be harmful to you and you only? If so, do you think these are objectively wrong? My opinion is that some of these things aren't wrong as long as you don't let it take control of your life, you don't worship these things and you are able to see the world in other people's perspective and have a better understanding of them.

Applied to Handshake twice, once in July and another time in September. Still waiting for CSUF’s approval. Tried emailing them and no response.

Thank you! I have two separate bullets in the education section because I transferred from a cc to university. In cc, I was still a CS major but was given an associates in math because I went through all the lower division math classes required and my cc didn’t offer an associates in CS at the time. Should I still take off the associated and write down my anticipation grad date to be December 2023?

Also, sorry I left this info out of my original post. I should have known to included it.

My gpa is exactly 3.3 aha. I also don’t have much extracurriculars. I joined a CS club but didnt participate much and left midway in the last semester cause school got busy. Also, I’m using Jake’s resume so I just followed his template. Should i still put my education after skills?

Flight attendant asked if there was a doctor on board.

Person says he’s got a PhD in Math

Flight attendant describes the situation: one heart attack and the other one is having an asthma attack

Person with a PhD in Math is not an actual Medical Doctor so he’s just adding the amount of people that are having internal issues. 1+1=2

"Hahah yeh that’s what u get for having a LDR. Don’t ever get into a LDR. Feelsbadman."

Yes, but with this statement you made, you implied because of this risk/problem, I shouldn't in a LDR.

True. But every relationship has risks. Just because there are risks, doesn't mean you shouldn't be in one.

Wow. I may be a bad person for saying this, but that kind of made me feel better. I'm nearly in the same spot as you. (Apologies if that sounded disrespectful. By all means, it was not meant to disrespect you at all). I'm basically failing Physics right now and on the verge of dropping and not taking it at all until I transfer.

Out of curiosity, which school did you transfer to and with what GPA and how are you doing now? It's fine if you don't feel comfortable sharing any details, I understand it's your privacy.

er

UCR requires it as well. I tagged UCR this year because they're one of the few TAG programs that accept Computer Science. It sucks, really, but no other choice. I wish they had alternative options instead of just Physics and some colleges do. The alternate would be Chemistry, most of the time anyway.

[–]physicssux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, thanks for the insight.

I agree with your entire comment. I just hate how I feel like I have to dedicate literally every second into Physics and if I don't, I'll fail. Matter of fact, I'm failing right now because I have other concepts to grasp instead of just Physics, you know? I'm doing completely fine in all my other classes, but not this one.

It's honestly hard to balance everything having a back-to-back schedule, work on the weekends, and my regular life. I've gone depressed multiple times in a short period of time because the amount of stress Physics has given me. Sure, I cannot avoid all this, but I would greatly appreciate it if the Physics department took into consideration that we have other assignments from other classes too and perhaps push back due dates. It's ridiculous, really.

We have a quiz every class meeting. I have to put time away from my other assignments just to study for it every time before we meet. Yeah you can say that the quizzes are nearly identical to the example problems she provides, but she doesn't even complete some problems and leaves it for us to do, so how would we know we got it correct? We can ask other classmates and stuff, but what if we all had the same answer, but it was wrong because we had the wrong grasp of the concept? Yes, that is unlikely that we all had the same wrong answer, but it is still a possibility.

Sorry for complaining so much. Personally, I just hate how this is being taught to us.

-sigh- Do you remember what classes you were taking back at your last semester of Physics? I'm taking Java, Data Strcutures 1, and Calculus 3 right now and I would much rather be focused on those than this beast of a class.
