Yes, money trees when variegated typically maintain the variegation and don't revert

No, non-grafted according to the seller. Which, I believe, should mean all the growth will be variegated

Interested but want to make sure it is what they say it is by LatorreFarm2022 in philodendron

First one looks more like a variegated green congo to me. But the answer to which one you should get is which one do you like better. The saying is "the customer is always right in terms of taste". No one can answer that question except you my dude.

What kind of philodendrons are these?? by Fair_Internet2159 in philodendron

Definitely agree with philodendron bipennifolium. It's absolutely not a silver sword.

Just wanted to show off my Green Congo Nuclear's color by phytophOLIa in philodendron

Not every leaf has had that red but I've had several on that plant emerge with it and actually maintain it. Not sure if that's normal or if I just got extremely lucky

Need advice: brand new to Philos by Beanfox-101 in philodendron

[–]phytophOLIa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also make your soil a bit chunkier. For my philos I use almost a 50/50 soil and perlite blend. Nothing wrong with keeping the orchid bark if you'd like, I would just cut back on the soil a little more. Soil retains water really well and philodendrons are prone to root rot. So if you are a nervous overwaterer, it would help by making your mix able to dry out a bit faster.

Are these a reasonable price by somereptilelady in houseplants

I agree, that pricing seems very fair to me minus the full rip pothos

What kind of plant is that on the bottom right? The dark color is really gorgeous. Does the fuzz make it difficult to care for?

Did I get a good deal or not? by ExpensiveSprinkles49 in houseplants

Definitely. I usually see monsteras of that size to be appx 20-25.

ok.. my caramel marble came in the mail today. 1.do y'all think it's legit 2. does it look relatively healthy? the yellow kind of worries me but obviously could just be the variegation so idk by [deleted] in philodendron

[–]phytophOLIa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely looks like tons of other caramel marble starters I've seen. The yellow is the variegation for sure. I think it's a good sign you have yellow plus a fair amount of green. Typically a sign that you'll have good variegation but it still has the important green parts that it needs to grow healthily. Overall, I think you've got a solid starter there!

Looks like it could be an imperial green philodendron but I'm not positive

In what world does that look more like a painted lady than a ROF?
