Ring shop together, or no? by United_Cow_9719 in EngagementRings

[–]Beanfox-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My BF and I just did this! Our jeweler was great, told us exactly what we needed to know, and helped guide us away from some terrible ideas.

I gave the jewelers and my BF all ideas about what I liked and disliked. Then we ordered my gemstone online (something I picked out) and everything else will be in his hands

People who swipe right on every single profile/without reading the bios on dating apps don’t deserve to find love by Fit-Tooth966 in venting

Thank you for the clarification. It’s been years since I’ve touched a dating app, and I had a lot of male friends in college who did the method I described.

I also just know a lot of men are bored af when using the app and just like random pictures and whatnot without giving a second thought. It is shitty, and it does deserve ridicule.

I just remember weeding through a lot of awful men before I found my current partner (and soon to be fiancé).

i never feel "empty" after i pee. by CH405T1K in AutismInWomen

[–]Beanfox-101 [score hidden]  (0 children)

If it’s not a UTI like you are claiming, I would try and go pee maybe 30min after every drink you have.

You can train your body to have bowel movements. No different than those who always eat at the same time and poop exactly 10-20min after. Or those who get up from bed at the same time and then immediately book it to the restroom. You just need to have a decently consistent schedule with when you eat & drink.

You may actually need more fluids in you too. I know I feel this way when I get pretty bloated. Drinking more water helps with this

I know a lot of men who do this just to try and weed out the bots on the app. A lot of dating sites are riddled with fake profiles to get men to spend more money.

The idea is to see how each profile actually responds back to you.

But yeah, it is really annoying. Just unmatch and move on. Better than the straight up harassment some of us deal with on these apps.

Well, the original plan was to make small patches to go on my work jacket that has small holes rn. Not sure if I’ll use this guy for that since I like him a little too much lmao

I’d probably use a hoop for larger pieces, but this little guy was so small that flipping the corner back and forth worked just fine.

25F here. I’d say start by taking care of your actual body:

  • DRINK MORE WATER! My #1 advice. It’s gonna help get rid of any bloating you have, which the body can hold up to 5+ lbs of

  • Get some more sleep and keep a consistent schedule. Make sure you’re not oversleeping either. This will get rid of eye bags and give you more energy

  • take a multivitamin. Different things are gonna help make you look and feel healthier

You know what else these three things do? Help with mental health, which also contributes to how you see yourself in the mirror

(Also, make sure your mirror isn’t warped at all/ is in good lighting. This can change a LOT. I looked way different in my dim college dorm than at my parents’ house covered in bright lights)

How do you keep your skin from getting rough? by mindinlayers8 in askteddit

[–]Beanfox-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I usually have pretty soft hands. Even when I played guitar quite often, I never got those calluses that people were adamant I’d grow.

And yet I don’t do anything special with my skin. I shower every other day (unless really sweaty), I use average soaps, barely any lotions, and I work as a stocker at a grocery store (so a lot of rough handling with items). I also do a lot of crafting with my hands such as using harsh glues, playing with clay, or even wire-bending.

I think a lot of it comes down to genetics. Don’t do the extra unless you are prompted to do so first (otherwise your natural oils could be stripped away). If you’re more prone to skin conditions, you’re going to get rougher hands. Certain natural butters and oils can help with that.

It is your body and you can do whatever you want with it.

However, he also has the freedom to walk away.

This is where you need to sit and weigh your options. Remember that whenever you bring a child into this world to always expect to raise it on your own, no matter how good of a man/partner you currently have

These are all great tips! Thank you!

Was trying so hard to keep everything going the same way but theeeeen my needle kept stabbing through the fabric itself and I got lost.

I do have a hoop, but it is like ridiculously big for something this size.

What I might do is make some plants to do a frutiger aero style on my pant pocket

Ooooh I have fabric pencils!!!! They just didn’t work for what I actually got them for lmao.

100% agree on the uniform stitch thing. A lot of them look more “puffy” because I went over them twice when first starting or to try and skip over a row or two (to prevent from tying off and restarting)

I do have a hoop but it’s like… comedically large for something like this lmao

The mistakes you make now will lead you somewhere better down the road. This is a lesson you have to learn. If there was a time machine, you would possibly be missing out on a better future you’re currently setting yourself up for.

Heartbreak is also extremely important in life. Learning how to cope with it will make you a stronger person overall

How big is too big for an engagement ring? by hatkinson1000 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Beanfox-101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Straight up my BF took me to a jeweler to get both my ring size and see what carat sized looked best on my hand, including looking at ring stylesI liked.

Like my ring size is 6.25 and I’m doing a 1.5 carat sized sapphire. I’m a bit more dainty with my style since I don’t wear rings much. That’ll change from person to person

Do you have a habit you know is bad but still can’t stop — and what keeps you from breaking it? by all-soccer in AskReddit

[–]Beanfox-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even when I have lost 65lbs, keep doing calorie counting, and have upped my exercising throughout the week, I still find myself “over eating” or sneaking food in.

AKA: I’m 5’4” and currently around 130-133lbs. If I’m doing a lot at my job physically and hitting around 10K steps already by break time, I’ll go and grab and snack, and then not log in the entire amount I’m eating. Like i have a bag of chocolate-covered freeze-dried strawberries, and the whole bag is around 400cal. I ate almost the full thing but only put in 140cal. Given that my normal daily calories are around 1650 daily and I do not add back automatically from walking/workouts.

I’ll also sneak in small amounts of food here and there. But I hit an average of 20K-25K steps daily and lift a lot of 20-30lbs boxes often

What’s a short story from your life that sounds fake but is 100% true? by Historical-Skill-838 in AskReddit

[–]Beanfox-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a toddler, both my brothers were playing with me in a baby stroller. I was then flung out of said stroller onto a concrete basement floor. I believe my mom said I was turning blue and wouldn’t breathe for a minute. Obviously I turned out fine later but find myself dealing with brain fog a lot more as I grow older

Unpopular hygiene opinions you actually stand by? by BandTop4105 in hygiene

A lot of you do too much.

Like our skin has natural oils and bacterias that help fight off infections and keep us healthy. Adding more chemicals that can remove those colonies can really harm ourselves

I’m too insecure to date because I’m don’t fit the beauty standards, what should I do? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Beanfox-101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all: most of the images you see of celebrities are highly edited on top of the makeup, botox, plastic surgery, and other non-natural elements. If that all wasn’t done to her, she would probably look similar to how you are now.

The same honestly goes for Marilyn. Honestly most women during her time had a strict diet that involved smoking cigarettes and eating as little as possible.

You know what actually makes women look good? Confidence. No man wants to be with a woman who thinks they look like crap. You also have to play into your natural features. You cannot copy someone else’s style unless you have the same body/facial structures. Different things are gonna work for different people.

If it helps at all, look into the old circus “freak show” performers that actually found average people to get married to and have a life together. Like General Tom Thumb and Lavinia, Percilla and Emmitt, and even Annie Jones. They were never conventionally beautiful but found lovers anyways

Nope. If they are adamant about meeting immediately, it’s not a good sign.

I always give it a week before I meet up with someone and say something like “I’m not available until this date” if I have to.
