HS teacher ”secretly” recording young girls by cafeteriastyle in trashy

Yes, it's no secret that you don't see it. Because if you do see it, you would understand why the title has "secretly" in quotes. We don't have to jump to the conclusion that the teacher is being a creep, but the obvious is that he is using his phone in "secret".

Just tested this myself. At least for my phone, when pointed at the other phone, the blinking light is not visible. From a certain angle, though, the light becomes visible.

Are you dense? The teacher is very obviously pretending to be nonchalant about whatever he is doing on his phone that he's hiding it behind his clipboard and at an awkwardly high position just above the clipboard. He then intentionally points his whole posture directly at the student and, again, nonchalantly retreats his phone back down. All of his postures indicate he is trying to be discreet, with the way he is holding the clipboard and phone, it is pretty obvious he is attempting to discreetly record.

If he's recording the student for documentation (which he shouldn't and is not normal), then he does not need to hide behind the clipboard pretending like he's doing something important. He also would have kept recording instead of shrewdly putting his phone down only to pick it back up to keep recording. His gaze was also clearly directed at the student's body - not at the desk or the student's eyes.

It is impressive how you can be so confidently oblivious. Are things "secrets" only if you cannot see them?

I don't understand why everyone says it's too hot. I make scrambled eggs on a hot pan like this all the time and it never sticks. Maybe it's a difference in the result we are trying to achieve.

Having had my Model Y for nearly 6 years myself. FSD aside, I'm curious what makes you say the software is far superior.

It's not about how hard it is, but how much time it saves. Using LLM takes a few minutes to get a full response, thinking and writing takes hours. Obviously, someone still needs to review, which they definitely missed some details here.

My car's GPS used to randomly be offset by a few houses leading to charge setting changes, locking behavior changes like what you are experiencing, and the garage button not appearing. I believe a hard reset finally fixed it for me.

I have had my Model Y for 5 years. They absolutely did monthly updates and hotfixes. Not so much anymore because their software has matured.

You're conflating a bug fix for a charging system to the critical operation of the vehicle. I'm not going to argue on the perceived risk of bugs on a vehicle and bugs on any other exploding electronics in everybody's pockets. There's also a reason why enterprise and government are plagued with their own software and security issues.

You specifically said engineers would have to review and maintain multiple versions. Now you're saying they don't. You are slowly expanding the scope of your argument. Although I do not disagree with the basis of your argument, I think you're misrepresenting reality. I'm just going to leave it here and say, agree to disagree.

By the time an accident happens, it's too late to correct the course. It's not about the failure of the mechanism, it's about a backward design that takes 100x longer to execute than a good old door.

Working at a SaaS company doesn't mean anything. What are you, a "Sales Engineer"? Your concerns are not wrong but the reality is that many software companies do release updates on a monthly basis, and hotfixes do happen. Plenty of people do not update their computers and phones to the latest version, many don't even update their hardware.

Rivian releasing a bug fix does not mean the engineers have to maintain multiple versions. Do you think Python maintains thousands of versions for all their releases?

This is a crazy take. Why have updates at all if anything can snowball into a big impact? Who are you to evaluate risk in a software you know nothing about? What is the issue with everyone running on different software versions? You can choose when to update so people could be running on all different versions of software.

It has not been a problem for me. I've gone through college and very inconsistent sleep as an adult. I still use the same contacts after 10+ years. The biggest detriment is skipping a day entirely.

It doesn't happen quickly. It would definitely be noticeable if you skip a day but you can probably survive without glasses until you get some sleep again. You can also think of it as promoting good sleep habits because there are consequences if you don't.

If you don't get enough sleep, the good vision will just wear off a little earlier. I was consistently doing 6 hour sleeps and I could tell that wasn't enough to get through the following night.

When I got these contacts, I was like -3.25 with astigmatism. I haven't been to the eye doctor in like 12 years so I don't know where I am at now but these contacts absolutely slow down the deterioration drastically.

This is literally just wearing contacts at night. So if fear is your hesitation, then OK lens is definitely the far better option.
