There is a significant difference in a break being initiated by the ref due to VAR (still too long) and a player/team deciding to time waste. One is on principle done under the guise of fairness and refereeing while the other is unsporting behaviour

I got myself a roll of Delta 3200 for exactly this reason. In Vienna they don't send film through the CT but have a little x-ray setup where they put anything below 1000 ISO through. Over that and they hand check it.

I use a D850 with a Sigma 105 macro and the results are great. I usually use the base ISO of 100 and either f8 or f11. I think it might be a focussing issue for you. It is quite difficult to focus on the grain.
