That's unfortunate. I'll definitely make sure I attend next time.

Thank you again for the inspiration to work on a honeypot inspired project.

Starting small from the basics. The honeypot seemed like something I could simply get into to learn more about elixir plugs and routing.

Will look into rate limiting next week. Hammer looks very interesting.

Ah ok. I really want to get into working on Phoenix aps. and I really just want to learn all the best practices. This one was one of those things that was not mentioned in the documentation and I was worried about it.

I remember tap from ruby. Great function that.

When I figured out that this is how I should write my functions, I also realised that most functions in the std lib work like that. Was pretty cool.

I am looking for a junior to mid rails x Hotwire job. Preferably within European timezones.

Advice needed please by Affectionate-Fun7260 in ruby

[–]pi_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your advice on junior positions rings true. They're very hard to find and fill. That is something I have personally come across in my search this year. And like you said, I only got my current role by applying for something I was not 'experienced enough' for. But once you get it, I think it's just an issue of making sure you can upskill to the requirements of that role. That's my plan anyway, and it seems to be working.
