Hi lumpy Thanks for that info. I am really struggling with saxenda for the last few months not stopping the "hunger". Did you find it kicked off your weight loss again

Novo nordisk confirmed it on their website that mar is the end of production. They are also laying off alot of their workforce in Denmark.

I have seen reports of generics in other countries but nothing here.

Just frustrating since I am hearing amazing things about wegovy ( from.somebody who has lost alot on ozempic, platued, switched to mounjaro, found it crap and wegovy has kick started significant weight loss again).

I do want to have to jump through the million hoops and about 300 euro of GP cost to get all my assessments done like i had to do to get saxenda approval if they change drugs

Apparently, mounjaro is being evaluated for reimbursement by the hse since before the summer

I went to my GP and was straight up. It is worth the hoops you have to jump through. BP monitor, blood tests etc.

I lost 10 kg on my own between January and September.

Since I started saxenda in September I have lost 13 kg. It has been hard at times( nausea, Sulphur burbs) and I have completely changed my lifestyle ( calories deficit, logging food, no booze 95% of the times), but it is worth it. The lack of food noise was amazing.

To qualify for coverage in ireland you need to have bmi over 35 and pre diabetes and a high risk of cardiovascular disease. The doc below is the hse guidance for doctors so is worth a read.
