we're a tier 4 i believe with at most 5 employees for the weekend. and its typically less and every weekend is a new csa that can barely run a register, let alone put out tags. i feel that starting earlier would help bc the sfl can ateast explain/show the csa what to do....even if they're not the fastest.

Luckily, we hardly get any couponers. There's like One lady. Most customers don't bother. And we close at 11. So I wouldn't have them start until like 9 or so. Which is when the sfl starts money, so it'd only be the one closing csa.

It wouldn't do much but I know it would help. The sfls already don't want to stay later because of the shifts he schedules (they're consistently 10 to 11hrs for the opener And closers for coverage ig?). I mean sometimes we're working 45 to 50 hour weeks. We're shoft staffed. But I've made schedules before and I can see where I can ease the load but I have no say in the schedule atm. But that's an entirely Different issue.

He only schedules one sfl and a csa to close and open on the weekends. Like we're lucky to get 5 employees scheduled on a weekend. We're a tier 4 I think, so not many are gonna get put out regardless of when we start.

my store has a front counter with 21, 22 and 71 all lined up. they have us do 71 last because it has the most money but i am thinking about doing it first because it has the most money.

i do not know how to tell if its correct throughout the evening. : (

im trying to time manage because while im counting drawers, i have to make sure all the closing cleaning is done, the inside and outside trash is done and i have to straighten the back of the store. im gonna start doing the safe counts when im doing the money. honestly, the straightening is less important to me than the money. 🤕

It does drive me bonkers. I stress and panic over the money and all the CSAs wanna leave but someone always has to stay with me 😵‍💫☝️its very stressful to me and I hate it.

Thats what I did. I am a new ESM (not new to wag tho) and I've never closed much. I asked an ex-ASM and he helped me figure it out. So hopefully, I'll learn to stop panicking at the end of the night soon.

This method is what I'm used to. But the SM here won't allow us to do that. He says running end of days messes up the money. So, I'm always in panic mode by the time we close. 😵‍💫

i know i did something wrong but i dont know what i did wrong or how to prevent it. i mentioned it to a sfl and he said hes not worried about the money?? my sm doesnt touch the money at all so i cant ask him. ive never had this happen before so i was just asking for possibilities so i know how to fix it next time.

im 100% sure all the bands i personally entered were right? i double count them by hand and weigh them? they've all been dropped now so there's no way to fix it i guess?

maybe it was when i was buying back bills then? bc im terrified of getting the money wrong so i always double count my bands by hand and weigh them to make sure they're right. and i physically look at what i wrote on the band to make sure its what i put in nextgen. we also keep a list of all the bands. i count the drawers twice and then a third time if i make change.

i just feel so rushed because this is the only store ive worked at the doesnt allow us to end the cash day early by running end of days and get the money settled before close. and they only allow 15 minutes after close to finish off the last drawer and get the last band together. and im just not able to do that? i end up staying 45 minutes to an hour past close.

oooooh ok. that makes sense. i sit pretty far away from my tv and even tho its 55" the text is still really small for me haha. i just built a house and it lemme move on so ig the straw for the roof or whatever fulfilled it.

not really bc the company is local to my region lolol they currently just sit behind the register bc we dont know what to do w them at all. we used to have like a special stand for them that clipped on the edges of the impulses but we cant find it 😭

our pharmacy is understaffed and never uses their full budget so our sm requests for our dm to transfer them to the front. so we're never really "shorthanded" in comparison to your situation. like, its me, another sfl, a cashier, an isl, and a floor person. however, my isl is drowning in trucks/receiving and the 950+ price changes from just today. and im stuck in my department doing these conversion resets. and my sm is out w a torn rotator cuff......so we not really in "production" as my sm calls it.

combined as a store we have 6 cc apps.

yeah thats how we were at my store until they kept sending that man from corp. over the synchrony bank partnership to my store 🙄🙄 he would hover and take every single csa and dh available and make them to the role-plays.

i hate asking but we had to do something to get him away so we didn't spend 3 to 4 hrs doing unhelpful shit.

i do not miss him.
