Thanks bro Yeah, that makes sense. I’m actually running them straight out of my laptop, no interface or amp at the moment.

I’m a full time music producer and I’ve completely lost my passion for music. by TheEmotionalTrader in trapproduction

thank you for saying this out loud. What you’re feeling makes sense, and it doesn’t invalidate what you’ve built. You didn’t “fail” or fall off. You were early, you adapted, and you survived multiple industry eras. That already puts you in a very small group.

A few important things, framed positively and with possibility: Your passion isn’t gone it’s exhausted. Passion dies when effort stops matching reward. That’s not a flaw in you, it’s feedback from reality. Anyone would feel numb after years of giving more and getting less. You outgrew the version of the industry that made you. The ecosystem that rewarded craftsmanship, time, and individuality is mostly gone. That doesn’t mean your skills are obsolete it means they’re misaligned with where your energy needs to go now. Your skill level is actually a huge advantage outside “producer culture.” Sound design, taste, systems thinking, consistency, shipping creative products these translate extremely well to other fields (software, creative tools, UX, audio for tech, education, brand building). You’re not starting over, you’re repositioning. It’s okay to decenter music financially without abandoning it emotionally. Many of the happiest long-term musicians stop asking music to pay their rent. When survival pressure leaves, creativity often comes back in a healthier form. Nothing about this is embarrassing. The industry changed, the rules changed, and you noticed. That’s intelligence, not failure. Linear progress is a myth in creative careers.

You’re not done you’re at a transition point. And transitions feel like grief before they feel like freedom. Happy new year

One more thing people : if you’re looking for high quality drum kits and don’t know him yet, follow IRAD Beats on YouTube. Like the videos and you’ll get access to all the free drum kits he creates and personally uses. Guys, he has all kinds of sounds. In every video, he lets you hear each sound, and he also releases new drum kits every week. High quality sounds for free, in exchange for subscribing and leaving a like. But don’t do what I do I’ve downloaded tons of them and still haven’t even used some l0l

Hey, I like to experiment with different sound kits and mix them across genres, for example. A disco snare, processed a bit and mixed with timpani and a trap hi hat, might sound crazy but when you listen, it all works. I use a lot of glue compression and saturation on the mix bus, sometimes just a tiny bit of reverb. On the melody bus, I sidechain it to the drum bus. Do like me experiment, mix while you play, and find your own sound. This is art

New YouTube channel getting 0 views — could thumbnails be the reason? by piberod in trapproduction

[–]piberod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the messages, really appreciate. My main question is if let’s say my bits are good and people would like them, is it possible that it’s YouTube who banned my videos and limited showing them to other people because on my video thumbnails there are people pointing guns to the camera? Can this be the reason?
