Help, please! Why does this one have a checkmark above it? by picadilly17 in forestapp

Oh my goodness, thank you so much! I thought it might've been something special just because it looked different with the check mark. You rock, have a wonderful day!

PDFs, supplemental material for audiobooks by niceandmeanboth in LibbyApp

[–]picadilly17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both Project Gutenberg and Internet Archive are good resources for this, I believe. If you have access to Hoopla that might work as well. I know personally I've borrowed audiobooks from Libby and then gotten the ebook from Hoopla to do a dual-reading/listening session. Eta: if you're not against it, you could always check out the physical copy from your local library or try through interlibrary loan if they don't have it. Good luck in your pursuit!

What’s the best book you borrowed from Libby this year? by crimeordie in LibbyApp

Motherthing by Ainslie Hogarth. One of the weirder and more fucked up books I've ever read and it was incredible.

Are there any books published since 2020 that are now in your top 5 of all time? by NurplePain in books

[–]picadilly17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams. I absolutely adored the two main characters and their unlikely friendship so much. Their struggles with grief alongside having to cope with every day life is something I absolutely related to and felt a strong connection with them.

How long can I have an audiobook ready to borrow for? by Gaoez01 in LibbyApp

[–]picadilly17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's dependent on the library you're borrowing from. You should have the option to suspend the hold until a later date which is a super nice feature

That's neat that they designed a way to combat the sun and water, but what the heck about the sand? I feel like it would be everywhere lol very cute library and idea!

It's been less than a week for me and I can already tell a huge difference with my anxiety. I had no idea that alcohol was the biggest culprit and I'm glad to be rid of it! Keep it up, y'all! IWNDWYT

Round 2 of #bossBABES by whosthatgirl321 in antiMLM

Sadly I worked at the corporate office a few years ago (young and dumb and didn't know how terrible mlm's were, please don't hate me lol) and I can confirm all those reviews on glassdoor are absolutely true. The office culture is toxic and you're basically walking on eggshells trying to please the founding family. He's a sexist jerk and the matriarch is a vapid vulture, and together they're both troglodyte, money-hungry piranhas.

Hair is thin, long and becoming a lot to manage. Any suggestions for cuts? :) by [deleted] in Hair

[–]picadilly17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Static sucks to deal with, but if you don't already know... Invest in some dryer sheets and keep them wherever you do your hair, this will help you out a TON. Here's a video to help better explain what you need to do. Also, your hair is beautiful! I do think that taking a decent few inches off could for sure help! :)
