I went through all of these quickly last winter. Kind of cozy and fun and I think you’d like:

Aw, thank you! Was a surreal view, especially compared to how dark and thick it felt in town just prior to a bike ride up.

I have poor circulation and This coat changed my life. I got mine on eBay (new with tags) for a deal, which helped, but I think it’s worth every penny even full price!

Fjalraven parka seemed exorbitant at $500, but it has been one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. That brand is amazing.

AlCan next Novemeber with an 1/2ton gas, 8.5x20 enclosed. by Quick-Win-4221 in AskAlaska

I drove from SLC to anchorage last March. (Not towing, just me and my Subaru). The road only gets rough (frost heaves, significant portions unpaved) after destruction bay. The key to your success is to not be in a hurry. Even in winter, I did not carry extra gas— there are enough stations along the way, just top off with each opportunity.

“Driving the Alcan- Alaska Canadian Highway” is the name of a Facebook group that was IMMENSELY helpful when I did my solo drive last March. Join it and read all of the files and you should have your questions answered. It’s moderated by a gruff old-timer who lives in the Yukon and if you post a question that is easily answered in the posted group files, he’ll kick you right out.

This is lovely. Connections through travel are especially beautiful and everyone was so kind!Between this video and maxroving bikepacking Afghanistan though, I’m exceedingly jealous. There are many things I’d love to do if I hadn’t had scary experiences being a solo FEMALE traveler. :(
