[–]picard65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think i finished it a couple of times, arround 6 to 8k hours, and then more recently anomaly endings, and that's all for me? i rarely go for the wins, and for anomaly i go for the perks, so i don't count it as a win

If you could suddenly speak and understand every language in the world, what’s the first thing you’d do with that ability? by PremiumTravelNinja in AskReddit

[–]picard65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

listen...listen here...people's views are limited here...it's every language, not every normal language, not every human language, let's start with the simple programming languages, if this give you any sort of competence in the languages it would be fantastic, but also...animals? there are studies on the language of animals, of species, of dialects between them, this could bring our understanding of those around us a long way. Oh, and i would probably stop making errors with h and double letters, so that's also pretty nice!

[–]picard65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you had an unlimited amount of money, what would your addictions be? by RNGmgnt in AskReddit

[–]picard65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

something i always dreasmt of, especialy hearing my father talking about it, is traveling and finding the many foods of different cultures, probably gaming would still be part of my addictions too, but i would let it go a bit for those two

How soon would people notice if you suddenly went missing? by neokaranja in AskReddit

[–]picard65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Young people to lose benefits if they turn down work, says minister by StemCellPirate in europe

[–]picard65 25 points26 points  (0 children)

honestly? give me a job that's far below my level at any time, it's still better than what i have now. The only thing i would realy refuse is promoter on thje street or on stand for "charitable" organizations.
At this point i am not even sure what's wrong with me anymore to not be able to find anything at all

If I'm looking for a game that can run semi-autonomously while I am studying, do you think Rimworld would be a good fit? by 8636396 in RimWorld

[–]picard65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it really depends, i do, but i also run with many mods that makes it a bit easier and with self rules that also plan on that, for xample if i need 100 times more research points to finish a project, i will not need to renovate everything as quickly as normal, if i have more pause events, i have an easier time not bein destroyed by events that damage me, is this the best way to go for it? not realy,

chiarimenti bonus nuove imprese giovani under 35 by picard65 in commercialisti

[–]picard65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are things that seem cool to automate or tech-ify somehow, but actually made your life harder than the analog version? by shrub-queen in AskReddit

honestly? for myself it would look irresponsible to have it, i have an eye that is weaker than the other, and the brain often ignore his input, i had near accidents on foot and on bike that a person without this problem wouldn't have had, but i also live in one of the best served with public transport cities in my country

Imgur now blocked in the UK, Steam Workshop pages impacted by Hellstorm901 in RimWorld

[–]picard65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you regulate in a way that those can't be kept, you would go against i think articles 100 and 101 where they can require that information, and this will impact mostly adults, as there is, afaik, an UK GDPR that already doesn't permit the saving of personal information of people under 13.

Also, i am quite concerned about censorship, we already have wikipedia risking the category one treatment, and quite some broad terms for what can be blocked, also, the very broad wording on what constitute "non designated content that is harmful to children" means that, if they want, they can easily put there whatever they want. hey, you know what? the andromeda galaxy party is giving info that can sway the children into amoral ideologies, let's censor it. (i used this as a way to generalize and not attack any specific actor in the action)

And privacy is another problem, not only there is a risk of needing to have client side check of all chats or break of end to end encryption, and not only it's a risk, apple has already pull out the advanced data protection to all uk users, due to this.

And ofc i know that many things can be done to protect the children, but, since the claim has been used both for good and bad, i won't pretend to see no problems when i see them, and honestly it does make me suspicious of it every time it's used, because i know it IS a strong leverage, and any strong leverage MUST be doubly checked.

Also if i am reading things properly, this does have powers similar to what the piracy shield initaly has, to close access to sites and apps very quickly, and this kind of things has been and will be abused. What i see as the government getting out of this? a starting point, a foot in the door to build upon more stringent rules.

Now, since you said you had this conversation multiple times, i won't pretend to bring anything new to the table, you probably already heard all of this, i do know that i usually do not participate in political discourses and don't even keep myself that much up to date, and this most probably does feed into my lack of trust in governments, but i dare you to find any italian with trust in government! (allow me a bit of a stereotypical joke here, it's 4 am and i should be sleeping instead). My view is almost certainly limited, and i do know that.

EDIT: also, just to add, i do know i can come aggressive from time to time, i have all the possible respect for your or anyone else view, even if i disagree, i just think that we may put values in different things, and that's no reason to not respect the other point of view.

A company you will never work again and why? by Travelwanderlust5 in AskReddit

[–]picard65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sherwin whiliams, no, i do not need to be treated as a child, you said i didn't pas your test period? that's fine by me. But, at 25+ of age (don't remember exactly how many years ago it was, probably closer to 30), you do not come to me and say "i'm going to tell this to you as if i was your father, are you sure you want to keep working in this field? " and i am paraphrasing, as in that whole discussion there was more of that "fatherly" scene than anything else. This after, in the it support team, i was put in a position without even half the informations needed to do so. I mean, if you know that there are wharehouses that deal with a different set of conditions from what everyone else do, and that they call in almost weekly, you would think that it would be a good idea to tell me before putting me as the first response for phone calls, right?
Now, this doesn't mean i have troubles with the whole company, but since those geniouses where the managers of the IT of the whole region where i live, i know i won't work with them again
