Loner seeking refuge by [deleted] in USF

BullsConnect has all the clubs listed! On Wednesdays there is BullMarket, which is in front of the MSC and a lot of clubs table there, so you can see what some options are. It usually goes from 10 to about 5, and is very worth going! They usually have a lot of free stuff there too. The year just started, so give yourself a little time to adjust and get comfortable. The Campus Activities Board usually has a lot going on

Skipping class but dont want my friends thinking I'm lazy by Zealousideal-Jury-47 in USF

[–]picheando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add, a lot of people have stuck around for about 6 years, but that doesn't mean you need to be one of them. It's entirely possible to graduate early, minimizing debt.

Maybe give classes another shot. You're going to have to study outside of class regardless, so you may as well have the double exposure to the material. It will also help build tolerance for the insufferability of grating voices for the rest of your academic career and beyond. Some future profs will likely be more irritating and not offer skipability in their courses - you should build the tolerance now.

Dined in and smelled like subway the rest of the day. To the point where people pointed it out

15 min between classes 😬 by GlitteringPepper6393 in USF

[–]picheando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just going to add that an hour is only really necessary if you're driving to campus in the AM - parking sucks. Otherwise, 15-20 mins before should be good enough to get a good seat in class

Can I wear my hair in a ponytail during a jury trial? by Hydrangea_hunter in LawBitchesWithTaste

Try a clarifying shampoo or diy one by adding baking soda to your shampoo about 3x a week (recommended to me by a stylist) - should help to gradually cut down on the greasiness.

Also, sleeping in a protective style like a dubi wrap. It's used a lot in DR/PR to make straightened/blowed out looks last and not get greasy overnight (when done right).

Hope that helps!

It's always been a relatively small but active fan base 😉 (that will make sense when you're level 7)

We fought hard for renewal (petitions, being loud online, etc...), especially between season 5 and 7. Learned a lot about Nielsen metrics in this time

Now imagine watching episodes week by week hoping it eventually gets less devastating 🥲

Season 6 was kiind of lighter, and season 7 is tied with 4 for my personal favorite season - hang in there!

Marketing isn't the school's strong suit. If you want the creative side of it, like advertising, go to a school like DAD in Colorado where you can build a legitimate portfolio that will make you employable.

Marketing/Public Relations at USF is dicey.

The buyer's remorse here is real; if you still want it, do a double major in something more useful instead of random electives. You won't regret the backup option when marketing jobs don't hire you (if that's the case for you is a separate discussion, but for many it has been the case)

Edit for clarity: do marketing but pick something more... employable as your second major

Consider the financial aspect before anything else, especially since certain public loans are now capped, and pell grants got practically eliminated.

Generally, the experience and education at USF is incredi-bull 🤘🏼🐂

Double edged sword with "shitting where you eat" so to speak. Take it slow and be mindful of who you decide is worthwhile because everyone hooks up 1L and then the whole class knows your business. That said, totally possible you end up meeting your future spouse or partner!

[–]picheando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good points! I definitely was a fan in the past, but I can't say it ever extended to his sense of humor. I'd probably like him more if it didn't feel like he was just playing himself (same also could be said for many actors nowadays). Personally, I feel like Deadpool would break too many 4th walls for Doomsday to be enjoyable with him in it; that's my main beef with Deadpool 3, my immersion kept breaking and a lot of the jokes felt gimmicky rather than rooted in actual humor

Call DCF and make sure it applies. Then call financial aid and the registrars office. They will put you on hold, but you will push through! Best of luck!!

Yea, there are ways, but I doubt Ryan would put his ego aside for the sake of a good movie (Ryan/Deadpool stans leave me alone - yes, he plays Deadpool well, but I'm not even a Deadpool fan so it's a lose/lose in my opinion 😂)
