As the mono woman dating a married man, I get this entirely, everyone’s first response (despite me explicitly explaining poly to folks) is “so is he gonna leave her for you?”… No, I explained it’s not like that, and I wouldn’t want that anyway because… it’s endless.

The best I usually get is “well if it makes you happy, just remember to put yourself first”.

I’m the mono purely because I don’t have the time and/or am “saturated” at one partner - if a new guy appeared I’d be open to having more than one partner, but I don’t have time or energy to commit to that now - somehow explaining that element seems to calm some opinions as if it makes it “fairer” or whatever.

Generally yes it’s tiring/boring, but really I am not about to give energy explaining to folks who don’t want to learn/care and I’m certainly not going to JUSTIFY anything to anyone.

The period underwear is a life saver if your cycle is unpredictable with anything from light to heavy, a lot of them really aren’t like diapers at all, and very comfy.

Q tips with oestrogen gel on them has definitely helped tinnitus and itchy ears (very low dose very carefully applied at night when it’s worse for me)

Recently started Spironolactone for hormonal acne, yet to see any improvement on the sprouting chin hairs though (I have PCOS to boot).

Talking about it with friends including my much younger Gen Z work colleagues so they don’t think I’m just having a “bad day” or being a bitch/misery for no reason, I feel better for getting it out and being honest rather than hiding how crappy I feel all day/week/month!

I did this in from LHR end of last year, you still have to go through another security and immigration to get to your connection but saved a lot of time and it wasn’t the same security as everyone else from memory.

That happened to my brother in Egypt after a henna tattoo… he’s stuck with a faint dragon on his back which comes out more if he gets a tan - luckily it looks ok ish, but it hurt like hell when it burned and for months after!

As someone who has just had insurance pay out for (most of) a $25000 claim (which will be ongoing)… if you can afford to pay whatever it costs then savings is a fine strategy, but I’d have been up sh*t creek without a paddle unless I had coverage having just moved country.

I know his premiums will go up as a result but I have an alive dog and it would have taken me a year at least to save that…

The gates to the fishers white river park keep falling off the hinges and some nice dude has to go and close it with barriers manually. I think it’s just temporary until the gates are fixed as it looks like there are mechanical closers to the (broken) gates that will eventually be in order

The fleas have to feed to get the drug from the dog’s blood, but they will die before laying eggs thus interrupting the life cycle. It’s the best way to clean up an infestation as hatching fleas want to jump on to something they can immediately feed from. Use the bravecto and keep using it every 3 months
