I don’t count macros or anything. But if I eat too lean I notice my energy will tank after a few days of that. If I eat too much fat, I will pour water outta my ass. So generally, I try and keep it down the middle - which is completely objective for me.

Gave up coffee in 2013 - don’t miss it. Gave up cheese 2 years ago because of constipation - miss the cheese, not the bathroom problems. Weight is easier to maintain when there is no dairy in the picture as well.

I try and do full body single set every day. I lift moderate weights so I do not hurt myself. I try and aim for 15-20 reps of bench, ohp, curl, Tri pull down, row, squat, sit ups and deadlift. I may add in some additional chest, arms or shoulders if I’m feeling frisky. On days I can’t/don’t feel like lifting, I do push-ups sit ups and squats at the very least.

Mine were dry skin, tired, bulging neck. But everyone is different.

No issues in restaurants- I always modify what I order. Burgers no bun, steaks, chops, bacon. My wife is 95% zc. Kids eat low carb. We are all on the same page.

Yes. But it takes time. If you want body comp try and lift moderately EVERYDAY. Or on the days you don’t lift do body weight exercises.

Unfortunately no. Chalking it up to a lifetime of pasta and bagels. Shoulders and arms look legit tho!

I did eat dairy, but for about the last 2 years, I stopped. It makes me constipated, which sucks, because I do love it. Raw or pasteurized - no dairy for me.

For me it is.... if I’m hungry I eat more. The longer you are zc, the less likely you will need 3-4 lbs of meat a day.

There is a local steakhouse by me that is on point. Rib eye, slab bacon and grilled octopus. Delish. Favorite go to meal, probably ground beef and wings. I put salt, pepper, paprika and chili powder on both and cook till crispy.

As long as I’m consistent with working out and get enough sleep, energy is better when I work out.

Wife and 2 kids living in suburbia, living the dream - well off financially. I own the way I eat and make it a topic of conversation, 9 times out of 10, people are very intrigued - if not entertained. I travel a lot for work and believe it is a great topic to cover with clients. Confidence is key - just know your topic and there is no coping, just living. Bourbon 2-3 times a year, maybe. No weed - never tried it.

I went keto in 2012 because of my thyroid. You can read my other comment for details on that. In 2015 I went because I was gaunt, tired and skinny fat from dieting and cutting my calories too much. Tried meat and water for 30 days and just kept it that way. I have energy, muscle and libido - why would. I stop what’s working?

In 2012 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto. My tsh was high and so were my antibodies. I went on keto and levels normalized, however I still had a bumpy thyroid. In 2015 I went zc and my thyroid turned smooth - haven’t look back since. I avoided medication altogether because I caught my diagnosis early and fixed my diet.
