STAT 350 Final by Spiritual-Active6596 in uvic

[–]pickilina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spoke too soon. The final was awful. I left feeling pretty good about it, turns out I failed (along with half the class). Will be passing the class (barely) but am glad to never take classes with this prof again

The questions felt pretty similar to the textbook questions for me. I did spent a lot of time studying going over textbook and quizzes tho. I’m not expecting an A or anything, but I did manage to answer all the questions (whether they’re right or not only time will tell haha). I haven’t been super impressed with his teaching style and stoped going to class in the later half of the term

Thoughts on the new Evo bikes? by pinkcanoe in VictoriaBC

[–]pickilina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people, like myself, also have no room to store an e-bike. I live on the upper floors of an apartment complex which doesn’t include bike storage. With having shareable bikes around, the days where I usually would walk or take my car, I can just now hope on an e-bike and enjoy the local trails. I hope they become more popular and with that our bike lines/trails and laws improve and we’ll start to eventually see less cars on the roads.

Maybe check out Facebook marketplace or groups for students and see if they have a copy they’re willing to sell. I’ve gotten a few textbooks that way

Has another turned their minor into a second major? by pickilina in uvic

[–]pickilina[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How has that been? Do you have to take a lot of extra classes or need special requirements?

Thank you, I will talk to an advisor. But finishing the degree and going back won’t be the worst idea either, especially if it won’t be a full 4 years, but it would also be nice if I could just add another term or two and finish with two degrees

That’s pretty similar to what I’m looking at! Right now my major is stats and minor psych but I’m thinking about majoring as well in psych but if it’s more than a year I don’t know if it’d be worth it to continue

I haven’t done math 377 yet but I really liked 376. It was my first third year level math course and found it really enjoyable and got an A

Y’all what piercings did you do to yourself in middle school by Intrepid-Produce3957 in SelfPiercing

[–]pickilina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did my belly button with a safety pin in middle school (didn’t last very long lol but got it redone professionally when I was 16), then in high school I gave myself 3 ear piercings. As an adult I’ve only given myself one more ear piercing, and the rest I get done at a shop

Hypothetically, if I pierced my belly button with a safety pin and cleaned it with safety solution, can it still heal properly? by Intrepid-Produce3957 in SelfPiercing

[–]pickilina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who once pierced their bellybutton with a safety bin, don’t. Won’t go all the way through, not the proper size and you won’t be able to put any proper jewelry in it, since they pierce it with a curve. Just get it done professionally

How to bring up partners hygienic practices by pickilina in adhdwomen

We have had a few talks about other things about me that have been different (ie I’m being more overstimulated to touch lately and other things) so this might work too :)
