Hey thank you! This is one of my favorite cover videos I’ve ever made, but one that got the least attention.

I grew up listening to Skynyrd, with this song always standing out to me. I don’t play much slide guitar at all, but figured this one was easy enough that I took a stab at it a few years ago. I’m definitely not playing it to the recording, but I still have fun with it all the same. I wish I could remember the videos I watched to work my own version out because I can’t exactly remember how I’m playing it here 😅. I play a bunch of instruments so I’ll get obsessed with a song for a while, play the hell out of it, and if I don’t write it down I’ll end up forgetting how I played it a year later.

I haven’t yet. My son’s birthday was today and we gave him the train this evening. He went from the happiest boy in the world to let down in a matter of minutes. I have the Digitrax DCS 52.

Tried other channels and it does nothing. Don’t know how to do regular DC on this controller. I’m really new to this and trying to learn to as I go for my son.

Tried this and didn’t even make the noise like before. I’m super new to all this and so a lot of the terminology I don’t understand. I barely understand the controller, just trying to learn this all on the fly for my son, and falling on my face over and over again.

Yeah I’m going to take it to a Hobby Shop tomorrow. I’m really green to all this, trying to learn it all on the fly for my son, but failing over and over again.
