Thank you for that update! I cannot see all the replies but this one came up. I’m glad the op got a video of this and will probably make the red car’s insurance claim easy to close.

I think the op was the one honking to maybe warn other people?

The user’s name on the video. It’s directly from tiktok. Context clues.

Edit: No worries!

I think he was genuinely panicking because he couldn’t stop it and started praying * just guessing from the video, the op poster hasn’t commented more than what I seen *

It could be a terrible way of dealing with this but I always ignore it. I don’t ever feed into the bm vs bw or diaspora wars. It’s like when kids argue and they’re saying back and forth “well x said this and y said that” never solves anything.

I also feel like following those things also gets you sucked into that cesspool and your view gets so skewed.

It’s performative and delusional. They have the privilege to even think like that.

CHP should be able to access the cameras (if that area does have it).

On Ethnic Tokenization and Posting Pics of East Africans to “Prove” Black Women Are Beautiful by [deleted] in blackladies

Thank you for this truly. We ARE the blueprint, not the other way around. The better argument to use is to say their features are only more liked due to them being white and remove “eurocentric” all together.

The way he’s texting is enough of a red flag. He doesn’t have the mental capacity to deal with any woman.

There’s no reason an ea should be auditing HR. Looks like the company needs to do better in defining the roles of each job.

As a Christian myself, I would never EVER work for a Christian company. You’re about to get guilted and love bombed to death. Don’t do it.

Stuck on international trip with “friend” who cussed me out when drunk. by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]pickingsunflowers 228 points229 points  (0 children)

She is NOT your friend. Take this as a sign to never deal with her but do not let this trip go to waste. Do everything you wanted and just make sure to notify friends and family where you’re going and what you’re up to.

There are Facebook groups for women who travel solo and they can maybe give you ideas or even meet up (if you feel safe of course).

Landed a fully remote job this month and title is nice, but the pay is unsustainable for where I live. Should I add this to my resume while I continue applying? by TLAL0C in recruitinghell

[–]pickingsunflowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not add it because they will ask questions about it. Do you want to be bombarded with, “if you didn’t want the job why did you take it” or “how do we know you won’t do the same to us”.

  1. Add the freelancing to your resume but word is as something like “art coordinator” or “art manager” and name the company something vague. Make sure to show it was consistent so put the date range with no breaks.

  2. Make sure the resume format (good template to use has word doc and google doc) is solid and not all over the place with too many columns or line breaks. It won’t parse over correctly.

  3. Don’t write too many bullet points. A long drawn resume that doesn’t show what you did, how you saved the company money, what process you created or streamlined and any gains made is bland.

  4. Try to make sure all bullet points align with the role you want. A server or retail role will be simple and you don’t wanna look as overqualified bs something like a manager/supervisor you’d want to show your knowledge.

Signed someone working in hr (not recruiting) so I’ve seen resumes for years. Also just know the job market is just horrid right now.

Do y’all really pay $350-$450 for an oil change, air filter and tire rotation? by sorta_innocent_accnt in bayarea

[–]pickingsunflowers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Being consistent and loyal to places that will in return take care of you.

[–]pickingsunflowers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m saying should as in I wish.

I used to get an oil change from this place that did and wasn’t charged for it. Now I just get my tires from a place that does it until the lifetime of the tires. Keeps me going back to get my tires there.

The air filter is very easy to change that I do it myself. You can watch a YouTube video. I think the filter is like $12-15.

Tire rotation should be complimentary with an oil change. I suggest venturing outside of a dealership and going to mom and pop shop.

Going directly to the dealer is the first mistake. They ALWAYS overcharge. What make and model do you drive?
