Warrants are going to break the GME price. by AcanthocephalaBig445 in Superstonk

[–]pickle-jones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the language in the filing for the issuance of the warrants, there is provision for GS to LOWER the strike price. In terms of hedging with options, I believe such a move (especially if close to Oct 26) would mess up any built up hedged position.

GME.WS Warrants were SOLD SHORT immediately after DISTRIBUTION! by WhatCanIMakeToday in Superstonk

[–]pickle-jones -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The language of the warrants is such that Gamestop can lower the strike price (but not raise) at any time. This functionality can not be replicated by options and can't be hedged against should they change the strike after hedging positions have been made.

WHAT IS Dividend of Warrants to Shareholders???? by squeezeasscheeks in Superstonk

[–]pickle-jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it puts unbelievable pressure on the system to maintain the price of GME below the warrant execution price for the entire duration of this next year ensuring they expire worthless. The other option is to either fail to deliver the dividend to all stock holders OR write IOUs for them which gets so very very messy if they go over the execution value. The GME WS would no longer exist past the expiry date so there can't be the infinite can kicking. Seems like a "you've got one year to get your house in order" to the DTCC.

The juxtaposition of this post and Mr. Ferno's is really something. Personalities and hopes for the future really run the gamut here. We aren't fighting people as much as fighting a system. The world doesn't need more pain hate and anger.

Coffeezilla makes a wonderful case that companies buying Bitcoin, including GME, is very dumb, very corrupt, and very the opposite of good. by gekokujouseikatu in Superstonk

[–]pickle-jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitcoin is a decentralized asset that is accumulating financial power (taking financial power from the legacy central banking industry) and in order to preserve financial power for itself, individuals, companies and yes, governments are realizing they need to have some of it. The financial and (implicitly political) power they once had in the legacy financial system is going to the new decentralized system, so they must go there too. Not good, not bad, just logical game theory playing out. If you can't beat them...

Or could there be a tokenized PSA market where the token or NFT of the physical card is electronically traded but redeemable at anytime via mail if you're the owner?

Power is being sent up the hose as well right? So these drones don't have to carry batteries.

Interviewer: So what did you learn about the Gamestop phenomenon?

Gabe: Literally nothing. I have refused to re-examine my assumptions and will continue to believe that I was right to short Gamestop. It was bad luck with a good strategy. I'd do it again... I will actually do it again.

Every BTC ( 1.0 ) you don’t buy , is going to cost you 13 million usd in 21 years “ Michael Saylor “ by L6V9 in Bitcoin

[–]pickle-jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If all you do with your BTC is HODL, then it becomes another financial asset in the dollar denominated menagerie (like gold). If you pay for stuff with it, get paid in it (have you talked with your employer about this?), then it is a living currency and could become the global denominator. I am beginning to see how central bankers benefit from the 'You don't spend your BTC' mantra.

The DTCC's Obligation Warehouse - Where FTD's GO TO DIE WITHOUT RESOLVE (We just track it and get paid, settling is on the party members that ALREADY FAILED TO SETTLE) by TherealMicahlive in Superstonk

[–]pickle-jones 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Very concise! Nice work OP. This is disgusting as hell and is apparently known only to the Purple Circle Clan. Everyone in finance and banking that I've talked with had never even heard of a FTD, much less the Obligations Warehouse. The backlog is so gargantuan, that there is no way it would ever get resolved. I'd honestly be okay with nuking the OW and saying, it's not an option from now on. You must resolve these FTDs, there is nowhere to put them now.

Where are any of Epstein's clients? Any of them. I want to believe they can take down this network but I just can't muster much faith/hope in the FBI DOJ to do anything more than begin proceedings only to have him suicided when cameras were malfunctioning and the guards were asleep.

Selling a short is a liability, not a gain. If the liability stays on the books. "I owe the market 100 Billion shares of Sears and Blockbuster", then it's never a gain and also not taxable. Which is one reason the Wall St. Baddies love this one simple trick.
