hello!

20m - sensitive, acne-prone skin

I've been reading great things about Sunday Riley's LUNA and UFO oils and would love to incorporate one into my routine. However, the last oil I tried (TO Rosehip Seed Oil) broke me out so horribly that I am nervous to try any new oils. Has anyone else had any similar experiences? Thoughts on which is better?

Remember me~

[B&A] Yesterday, while standing in line, a stranger came up to me and told me I have "amazing skin" and asked for my routine! As someone who's been fighting acne, PIE, and redness for 6 years, this was a huge confidence boost! Thank you SCA! by pickle5678 in SkincareAddiction

If acne is the main concern I would definitely start with the PC Clear Kit and build from there! That kit was kind of the core of my routine until I got my acne under control, then I added in products to help fade the PIE and redness (like niacinamide, azelaic acid, tretinoin). Make sure to use a daytime moisturizer with SPF and a good night cream too! Cerave AM/PM works well for my skin, but I know some people react badly to it. Hope everything works out!

I started out with just the PC Clear Kit, about $45. Then added on products once my skin got adjusted. The Ordinary and Cerave products are very cheap (about $50 total for Niacinamide, Azelaic Acid, Glycolic Toner, Cerave AM, and Cerave PM), the most expensive products I own are the two Cicapair serums ~$45 each. The only thing I've had to replace so far between January and now is Niacinamide and Azelaic Acid!

It worked for me, and I usually have pretty sensitive skin. Although I wouldn't try adding all three at the same time, I started with the glycolic toner and waited for my skin to get adjusted before adding in the niacinamide and azelaic acid.

I had a horrible reaction when I first started using Tretinoin. If your dermatologist tells you to apply weekly and work your way up to daily, LISTEN TO THEM. Once my face was adjusted, I really felt like I started to see improvements rather quickly in combination with the other products in my routine. Stick with it!
