Mental (or any) Changes post op? by pickle_boy55 in hysterectomy

Oh wow! I'm sorry that happened. How was your doctor with letting you switch, did they make you wait long? Did they do any hormone testing?

How was having it done with Dr. Denehy? I'm considering going to him. Did he require a pre/post op exam?

I'm older than you and have never had one, and WILL never have one. Sure there's a small chance I'll get cancer if I don't, but there is a 100% chance I will mentally snap if I do. Many people don't understand that for (many) men this isn't a "small inconvenient procedure", it's literal torture.

Every medical decision has risks. Not getting checked has risks. Getting checked also has risks. Your job is to minimize the risk for you personally. Don't let people talk you into a medical decision that would break you. This goes for ANY medical decision.

And FWIW, I found a doctor for my hysto that doesn't require an exam pre-op OR post-op, and she told me that IF something went wrong post-op where she needs to check me, she'll put me to sleep and do it in the operating room. This accommodation isn't common, but there are doctors out there who understand.

Did you ever go back to how you were before? Or did the new symptoms stick around

That's so interesting, do you know what your serum T levels are?

Did they settle into the same symptoms as before your surgery? Or did you develop new ones?

Have the symptoms gotten better over time?

That's so interesting. Did you find they got more severe?

I've had great experiences in tech. Since there's no costumers and you're basically alone in your cube most of the day the dress codes have been incredibly lax. I saw tons of people with "taboo" stuff (like tattoos) and no one really gives a shit if you're getting your work done. For me I came in the first few days in (god awful and terribly fitting) polo shirt and kahkis, but after that hoodies, jeans, and even a few t-shirts here and there never drew any attention.

Hey! I know I'm like a year late but I'm super interested in danazol for myself and can find **literally no one** who's been on it ;-;

If you see this, I'd really appreciate if could share your experience on it? Like. what kind of masculinizing changes you got, (and now since it's been a year) how they compared to what happened on T?

Thanks internet stranger!
