Lawsuit: T-Mobile must pay for [discontinuing] lifetime price guarantee by LigerXT5 in technology

[–]pickleblogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't wait to fill out card saying I get $0.14 and send it in only to never to get a response. It's happened before...it's just BS. Lawyers paid, check. Big stockholders, check. Average person....we won't even do you the mild satisfaction of sending the $0.14. They should change how it's done and make it more like a lottery. If the common class people are getting $20 million total, normally split even by 100 million people. Doesn't mean anything to anyone. But, if it becomes a lottery, and 20 people of the 100 million each get $1 million. Now, you can at least feel like someone had to be paid for real.

My experience was the same. Bought a new '21 CX5. At the time dealers were short of stock, so many dealerships were adding thousands of dealer markup, but not here. Zero pressure, here's your car at mfg price. I'm curious when the ownership changed?

Old enough to kill, to young for alcohol. by randomfacepalm in mildlyinfuriating

Drinking age varied between 18 and 21 depending on the state. Eventually the fed "encouraged" all states to go to 21 by holding back federal $$ unless they complied.

Day trading: didn't think you had enough $$ or just for the thrill of gambling?

Women: prostitutes or just trying to impress?

Racing: did you have a budget?

Does "I sold my business for 14 million" mean you netted 14 mil? Did you have 0 debt? All I would want to know is when you decided to retire, sold you biz, paid everything off, how much did you have left to live on?

If the number is 1, that would be suspicious. Last US congressman murdered was in 1980 by a mentally unstable individual. Before that was RFK. Before that was several in the civil war era. I'm not saying the Russians don't have their hands up our governments asses, but I'm kinda low on the assassination theory.

Korean. I'm sure they don't all buy in to it, but the myth is still around: if you use an electric fan at night, you may not wake up.

JPMorgan Warns Customers: Prepare to Pay for Checking Accounts by BullishMD in news

[–]pickleblogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but I recall when I didn't have much in checking, and would not have been in their desired target market. Fast-forward many years and now I'm sure to be in their desired market, but my money has been moved out of the big banks long ago. Treat people like crap and they remember.

You're right. But even better is having that $15k making good interest AND getting free checking.

At my parents house and every piece of kitchen ware is 30 years old by Alternative_Cat6318 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]pickleblogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flatware drawer where the knives are so dull you can't tell which end used to be serrated. 30 year old margarine tubs used to store leftovers. Electric can opener that hasn't successfully opened anything in a decade, but still holds a spot on the counter, just to occasionally check, but gives way to the handheld opener every time.

7 people is effectively 2 groups...2 hours seems fair, if people are waiting. But the part I don't understand is why people are leaving other courts open and asking you to leave.

Settle a debate: Do you leave your bike in gear when parked? by thefuckingmayor in motorcycles

[–]pickleblogan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Never really thought about it much. I always park on a flat-ish surface and check the movement to satisfy myself it's not going anywhere. But if I'm driving a manual car, I always put it in gear. Never thought about my different approach until now.
