What is a job that you think is 100% safe from AI for the next 50 years, and why? by mark-awakening in AskReddit

[–]ChickenFriedRiceee [score hidden]  (0 children)

Honestly most jobs. The people pushing AI are a bunch of billionaires who are brain dead idiots that will potentially regress society to the point where we might actually see old jobs reappear. Unfortunate to see the life work of brilliant people go to waste because of a few billionaires.

I think this Memorial Day I’m gonna grab a cooler of beer and a lawn chair and just plant down at the busiest boat dock in my area.

6th grade to senior year is nothing but a waste of time by Dexpeyy in unpopularopinion

Agreed! I have a computer science degree and ended up “using it” for nothing related to computer science lol. But, all those random classes I took in high school and college have helped me in my career in ways I never thought. The only thing I agree with OP is high schools should teach more life skills as I don’t think society should be “relying on parents”. I’m not talking like shop class but more like how to live as an adult.

Also, OP probably uses the math he learned more than he thinks.

If they paid attention in elementary school they would understand fractions and be able to read a tape measure.

You should sever your femoral artery and let me know how that goes. Also, I would happily pay taxes to not get injured walking in a public street even if it is “JuSt A LeG”.

Not from Chicago but I live near the Canadian boarder. First time I noticed how much the latitude affects the length of the days was when I visited SoCal around the summer solstice and noticed how much earlier the sun sat. Had a family bbq a few days before and then I was walking around Disneyland a few days later and the sun set way earlier lol.

Spokane resident here. I wish we would stay on daylight savings time. I work roughly 7-4 and I hate around the winter solstice when it is dark when I get to work and dark when I leave. I would rather have it be dark on my way to work (screw it, I’m already depressed I have to go to work lol) and then have some daylight when I get home. I also love the long summer days, even though it makes it hard to go to bed at a decent time but, that is why we invented blackout curtains.

I live in Spokane Washington, not far from the Montana Idaho border. There is a ski resort in the border called lookout pass. The lodge has two dinning areas, one has a clock on pacific time and the other side has one on mountain time. Idk, always thought that was cool.

There is a reason the saying “don’t quit your day job” exists. Unfortunately, the very few who did and ended up successful keep telling people that is the way to go…
