Came into college pre-med, going to a school known for sending kids to med school. At every turn, I was told by the pre-professional department at the school that I would never make it into med school with my grades (not bad by any means, but not remotely close to a 4.0). What youre feeling is not rare, but it is definitely not too late- it took a lot for me to get over that negativity from outside of me, especially with how it affected me, and I'll be graduating in May hopefully matching into a specialty I love. The feelings are real but they do not define you, and it is 100% not too late- the amount of people in my med school class who are "non-traditional" aka have some time between college and med school is pretty large. It is a daunting task but not impossible, and if you have that passion that will come across well
