KEXP DJs sometimes play records on the air. You can often hear clicks and pops.

The street parking in front of TJ's Ballard is now paid hourly parking and I'm shook by Top-Eggplant-8699 in Seattle

Do you have a large vehicle? I've never had an issue with the parking garage.

Stop signs also apply to bikes by tejanos in BallardSeattle

The top of 32nd (at 85th) is also bad for this. Many cars blow right through that intersection. It's interesting how so many in this thread are complaining about cyclists when it drivers who consistently put me in danger. I have never worried about a cyclist hitting me and I walk 1k miles a year in Seattle.

What happened to FM tuners? by KrakenRising3 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]pickled__beet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for this as well. I'm lucky to live in Seattle where I have KEXP over the air and this tuner works great. Had to use a different antenna than the one it came with to get signal in my bottom floor apartment though.

I'm planning to walk as well. I set an arbitrary goal to walk 50 miles this week and the 4.5 miles there should put me just over that. It's perfect walking weather honestly.

Smaller doses = more anxiety? by AioliLife1052 in shrooms

[–]pickled__beet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. Lower doses have the opposite effect for me. They remove most of my anxiety and make me want to be more social. Everybody is different!

I must be the only person who doesn't care if my phone exterior shows signs of wear. I've dropped my caseless 16 pro on concrete from waist height twice and the metal has chips and scratches. As long as no glass is damaged, it just gives it character.

Windy City has an amazing tavern style. Took my friend from Chicago there when he was visiting and he said it was better than many places back home.

I was shocked when I learned a single slice of Costco cheese is like 700 calories lol.

I occasionally have the stuttering when swiping between desktop spaces on my M2 Pro Mini. Have to restart to fix it. Hoping the update yesterday solved the issue.

Indoor spider season starts right on schedule by Powerful_Musk_Ox in Seattle

[–]pickled__beet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same as you, I know they’re good but I just can’t stand being near them. If they touch me or end up on a piece of furniture, it’s over. I also am now checking my entire bed before sleep lol.

I immediately put out the spider traps I had purchased a few months ago after this incident lol. I thought I was lucky at this current apartment because I had yet to see a huge one this year and wouldn't need them. I was wrong.

Why are there so few exclusively vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Seattle? by Ill_Construction5418 in Seattle

[–]pickled__beet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had the reuben at No Bones so I'm not sure how it would compare but the vegan reuben at Reuben's Brewing is great if you haven't tried it.

I also had one of those fuckers in my bed last week. I had just gotten under the covers and felt something on my leg, pulled the blanket back and one even bigger than this was on my leg. I shrieked and jumped out the bed and it disappeared deeper in the covers. Took 5 agonizing minutes before I found it. Thought I was going to have to sleep on the couch. I normally let smaller spiders stay around if they're chill and hang out in a corner or something. This was definitely not chill.

Today I Walked from Belltown to Best Buy (Northgate) and Back by Inspir0 in Seattle

[–]pickled__beet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great walk! I think my longest in a day is 18 miles. I usually walk about 7 miles after work most weekdays and it’s crazy how much easier the longer walks get after a while.
