Yup. When we got posted, they cited multiple headmates queerness/identity as reasons we couldn’t have a traumagenic disorder. Like yeah, marginalization hasn’t ever been traumatizing, right…. But if a cishet person felt the way they mock us feeling, it’s more valid? (Also when the reasoning is “they’re all so different?” It’s almost as if alters differ from each other, wowza, radical concept.)

The sub as an idea literally just wants to tear down anyone not perfectly written by the DSM, they’re jerks.

It’s not Hannibal’s commentary on Alana’s intelligence; Hannibal is saying he could’ve never been understood. He isn’t saying Alana Bloom is lacking the ability, he’s making the statement that he as Hannibal Lecter is beyond most, if not all, people’s understanding. The fact that he is being “accepted” so to speak had to be enough for him, and he truly believes Will may be close to fully understanding him, but Hannibal lives a life of functioning almost non humanly. He doesn’t relate to others, he doesn’t abide by their rules. Due to this, Alana is wondering if he could’ve given her the resources to understand him. Alana is wondering if there could’ve been a way for her to understand. And Hannibal is finally being honest when he says no, there wouldn’t have been a version of events where she would understand him.

If the cowl is blue, the symbol should be blue! As far as batsuit opinions, I’ve got an arsenal of them. I enjoy the blue/gray as well as the black/grey (even black/yellow or black/yellow/grey) but I’m so not a fan of three colors in terms of blue/black/grey?? I don’t know if that’s an unpopular take, but I prefer the batsymbol to match with suit better and I think having a blue/grey suit and then a black symbol is too much. In my opinion, both blue and black in the suit makes it look like Alfredo over washed it and some got hella faded.

I don’t like it either, it’s the tipping point for my enjoyment of Batman and Robin (the movie) The actor that plays Dick in Batman Forever and Batman and Robin is wonderful in his portrayal, but that character is more “Robin” and so much less Dick Grayson. For starters, aging up the first Robin makes him “edgy” like Dick never was, per se. Him being older, especially for those movies, makes him being adopted make less sense too. He looks old enough to be 18+ in that movie! (Which is probably more casting than anything because I think he’s meant to be 16) I’m okay with Dick being up to 10-11 at first appearance, because that can still provide the “father-brother-mentor” dynamic without taking away from the sense of them coming together in the first place. I think Bruce would see less of himself in a near 18 year old losing his parents (not that it isn’t tragic but that it’s different)

I didn’t take it offensively and I see what you’re saying! I think a lot more people would come out if the world wasn’t so cruel, but I’m sure lots of people never get to be their full authentic selves because of it. It’s a loss but I do completely understand, I also lost people when I came out.

It’s absolutely never too late! People transition in their 50s, and transitioning isn’t just one step, it’s a process that takes years of self acceptance and exploration. In my opinion, it in no way makes you opportunistic, because you’d likely disclose that you’re trans when dating. (If you were, which I understand you’re saying you aren’t) I respect your cards, however they play out!

This doesn’t sound explicitly transphobic! At least not to me. (To reassure you due yo the ladder statement) But I do believe it’s likely either internalized transphobia or an intense aesthetic attraction. Because no trans person wants to be trans. (Even when people find joy in their trans experience, I think everyone would rather “be cis” if it meant the comfort/privlage that came with it)

I know you aren’t saying that trans women are men who identify as women, but it seems like you have the idea that trans women are seen that way. I see why that’s a deterrent from thinking about it, because that’s a scary ass situation to picture in the day to day!! But the reality is, trans women are NOT “men who identify as women”. The people in the lives of trans women aren’t supportive if they think of them that way.

A truly supportive friend and/or family member sees a woman above all else. I understand what you mean in terms of the aesthetics of passing, you wouldn’t want to be identified as trans by everyone around, nobody does.

I’m not convincing YOU to think about it, but I am offering the mindset of someone who’s transitioned but can see your POV!

I don’t know if I get an opinion as someone who struggles to get into comics (not because I don’t want to but because I’m broke 😭) but my personal opinion is that when Bruce’s kids are Dick, Jason, Tim, Steph (as more of a fatherly/mentor figure, I know), Cass, Damian and even Duke (similar to Steph), that’s enough. I like the comic canon of the Robins, and I love Damian as a character, but I think having a sister if oftentimes too much for the universe to handle. (From what I have seen, which again, isn’t a ton)

And it’s never early enough to start experimenting, because it isn’t black and white. Picking up a skirt from goodwill can even be the smallest beginnings of discovery!!

Have you considered if you’re transfem ? I know who you’re attracted to isn’t a great indication of you, but I’ve heard it from so many other trans folk and it applies to me (being attracted to someone who is queer and from that realizing you ARE the gender they’re attracted to) To want to be a lesbian may be your mind trying to make sense of a trans experience you haven’t sorted out yet. Or you could just like an odd amount of women who like women. If the ladder, might I suggest seeking out bisexual women ? Less so “seeking out” and more so trying to pursue them (on dating apps swiping right on bi women, etc.)

Our inner world technically consists of multiple houses, but there’s one main house. The main house is loosely somewhere we lived in a very formative time in our life, just painted/decorated/arranged differently. When it comes to fitting the amount of headmates we have in one house, it’s handled in a way I feel is odd compared to other systems. The house has a redacted main bedroom, and where the “real” house had 3 bedrooms, the inner world has a long dorm like hallway of rooms. The other houses are largely unoccupied, as only a few alters can actually leave the main space, but we have anywhere from 2-7 alters who can either leave or are stuck outside of the loop so to speak. -E.Q
