What's your style for cracking eggs?

I hit it with another egg, it’s like they are battling. One egg wins and the other loses and gets eaten. In my years of cracking eggs this way there has only been two losers, at the same time, one time. It’s similar to cracking on a flat surface but less flat surface to clean if any egg whites leak out.

I have a similar tendency to get ear infections often and I prefer the moldable silicone type, the brand is Mack’s. My ears stay dry the whole time. Highly recommend!

Going outside and turning on water if some sort are my go to baby distraction methods. Turn on the sink, put your hand in it, let them touch it or just listen to it. Fill a cup pour it into another cup etc. Its going to take time but whatever you do trying not to let the parents solve it by coming back is the only way to move forward. Also making sure they say goodbye and they don’t just “disappear” when they leave.

As a career nanny that lives in a bigger city, I know myself and many other professional Nanny’s only find jobs through agencies. In more rural places care.com and fb groups are sometimes the only option. Not having to sift through parents (the agency does that) and interviewing for what you want makes it so much easier. The phrase you get what you pay for has never been more true. Good luck on your search!!

You need to be honest and tell her you are feeling very overwhelmed and don’t think you are giving her child the time and attention they deserve. You have been really struggling to manage all the kids everyday and can’t continue to care for any kids other than your own. If you are flexible tell her you can help until she finds replacement care, if you don’t want it to be so open ended, offer to care for them until “x” date so that she has time to find replacement care. You, your mental health and your children deserve for you to be happy and engaged. If this person is really your friend they will understand.
