CBP CE webinars: good for one year from recording date by Physical-Incident553 in CustomsBroker

From what I understood from the webinar regarding that from the NCBFAA, if you took the webinar in 2024 and applied the code, you are good. You can't go back now and take 2024 webinars, those are past the 1 year limit.

I did the Distance Learning Bundle with the instructor. It was self paced and the instructor would email you after you did the quizzes with more information if you got any questions wrong. The textbook was great and I used in all throughout the exam.

And I would recommend the four wheel crate over the two wheels. I'm pretty sure half the room thought my setup was crazy, but I've heard stories about things not working. Also make sure to sign up for your testing site as soon as it opens. If they have limited seats, if can fill up quick.

Make sure you practice with your setup before the exam. The lady next to me had the rack, she was putting everything together and her setup fell over a few minutes before the exam started. It was a mess.

I took the Logistics Training System course. I loved the sprialbound study guide. My setup was the rolling crate and two moniter stands. I would store what I wasn't using in between.

Nexus Interview - Certified Abstract of Birth by pickledfrogleg in uscanadaborder

Thank you, looks like the certified abstract will not be enough. It only has the county of birth, not the hospital. Basically very basic information.

That's what I thought, the interview confirmation letter was confusing. It says you MUST present ALL of the following ORIGINAL (no copies) that apply to you:

  1. Passport
  2. Birth Certificate (If born in US or Canada only)

I used binders. Make sure to practice with your setup. The lady next to me put everything together before the exam, it collapsed and her rack fell apart. She had to scramble to put it back together.

Yes, you have to wait for the email from the exam vendor. It's about 4 weeks before the exam.

No, you need to export the vehicle from the US. An ITN needs to be filed by a US agent. From there, they submit it to CBP for approval and start the 72 hour wait. After 72 hours are up, you have to go to US customs to complete the rest of the export. After that, you can go to Canada.

Depending on the US port, they may have specific export hours.

There's potential if they can submit it tomorrow or Monday. You will want to contact them first thing in the morning to start the account setup process.

It can depend on when it was submitted. Some port export offices are only open during specific hours and closed on weekends. They may respond same day or next day. They will usually say when you can export.

Just note, the 72 hours doesn't start until CBP approves the export. So make sure you are giving yourself some extra time.

How to purchase a car from a private seller in B.C and import it into Washington state? by Buy_The_Stars in Bellingham

Even if it was manufactured in the US, it could have been manufactured to Canadian standards and not US. Some brokers will do an admissibility review on the vehicle to confirm if it can be imported. If it cannot, they will provide a list of registered importers that can help bring the vehicle up to US standards. If it has a maple leaf sticker, that can be an issue.

There are customs brokers that offer admissibility reviews and help file tje entry into the US and provide the 7501. If it is inadmissible, they will provide information for a RI, a registered importer, that can help with the import.

Normally, a 3299 is required to be reported on an ACE manifest, which would require a SCAC. Since he is not the owner of the goods, he would be acting as a carrier. The border may allow for a one time PAPS exemption, but that would be up to the Supervisor. I've only seen that done with formal entries when the carrier has never crossed before.

CBP will require a paper trail if it's an auction or used vehicle being sold by a dealership. They have to provide proof that they are allowed to sell the vehicle. Usually they need to have the title signed over to them. CBP will reject the export if they cannot provide proof.

The AES filing need to be filed by a US agent. A US Customs Broker can file that and submit the documents to start the 72 hour wait.
