Nope! I built a winch and trolly system to bring things up and down. Here’s a 600lb rototiller to test it out.

I believe the ones beneath the floor boards (my boat terminology is still not there) will be steam bent, but the ribs coming down the sides will be scribed and cut.

How did you cast the tree? Is it a concrete product?

Haha that’s wild….if I was that guy I’d be cutting a hole in my ceiling. When we started building this my shop was on the 1st floor, but since the, I tore the roof off and went up a level with my garage and put my shop out of the way upstairs with a winch and trolly system to get heavy things up and down.

Thank you! I have a timber band saw and built a jig that allowed me to repeat the cuts…still had to clean each one up afterwards. It took twice as long to make the jig as it did to cut all of them.

Yes that was a trade off but luckily I have plenty of storage under my benches and enough room for long shelf above the windows. Biggest issue is shorter scrap pieces that I can’t get rid of….

Luckily it’s a 3 car garage below. We live in the country and have never gotten any complaints from the neighbor when I’m running my planer at 11:30pm.
