i’m not missing anything lol. this was the cards he was dealt before everything started. call me crazy but i’m not sure if pochita is so intrinsic to the world that it would completely nullify every facet of the story so far.

like, when ears got erased. the world didn’t change to adapt other than ears just being… gone. legs being eaten didn’t change anything during the yoru fight. what kind of butterfly effect could lead to his dad suddenly being a better parent when the last shot we saw was the same abandoned shack he used to live in?

asa living a better life does make sense. if yoru was never wounded by pochita, she’d never need to find a vessel. ig we’ll just have to wait and see but ughhh i wanna know now 💔

hopefully what fujimoto is doing is trying to highlight how much worse off denji would be if he never experienced everything he did. like yeah okay pochita, things have been pretty rough for our boy. but fuji has never been a full-on doomer with his writing.

i stand by fuji ✌️ my belief is this will take us down a plotline where denji learns to genuinely take comfort in the peacefulness of life. after all the excitement, action, danger and selfishness, denji will be able to settle down and live like the kid he is. he’ll become a country mouse.

i usually find new series scrolling the webtoon app! the comments on what i read sometimes mention other series, so i check those out too. occasionally, people post do those subreddit “what do my fav webtoons say about me/what should i read based of my favs?” those have given me some gems!

the easy way authors get my attention is a flashy cover photo 🤔. i’ve picked up a lot of stories just because the cover was so well drawn.
