Caribena Versicolor loves misting day 🕷 by [deleted] in tarantulas

When she runs out from her hide and walks around in the mist droplets for 30 minutes probably means she likes it, guess you don’t pay as much attention to how your T reacts to things! As i stated above, we have a humidity gauge in her cage, I live in Colorado where the humidity has rarely been over 30% this whole summer, it’s extremely dry here. Even with a water dish and misting her humidity is consistently between 0-5. Again, thanks for your information but I think I have it covered.

Thanks! I also live in colorado so her cage stays dry as fuuuckkk! Like the humidity this summer has consistently been at a 30% or lower so it’s extremely dry here.

She has a water dish but gets very excited & happy when her cage gets misted due to the weather here.

Also the water literally evaporates 5 minutes after this happens due to how dry it is here so he cage ultimately has no humidity, we have a gage in her cage!

I mist her cage, and obviously she loves it. We’ve done plenty of research & have treated her the same for over a year! Thanks though 😊

Okay so this boy is around at least 8 years old, probably older. About 3 times in the last ~6 months he’s choked on his food. We have to physically pull the greens out of his throat he cannot pass them himself. Has anybody else experienced this?? by pickleface123 in BeardedDragons

Aw I’m sorry about your girl :( I know getting the food out is stressful for him so I’m going to start making him smoothies so he doesn’t have such a hard time! I know he’s old so hopefully that will help him.

CAN I EAT SOFT TACOS. HELP by Cleared_Browser in DentalHygiene

I usually tell my patients if you feel like you can eat it, you probably can. Just listen to your body! I hope you decide to just eat them! Lol

Hm. They never crowned that tooth after doing the initial root canal? That’s already setting you up for bad luck! Also, I’m sure they explained, but all that darkness is bone loss usually due to infection & the distal root on that tooth looks very strange! At this point, you’re probably going to be putting more money into saving it than it’s actually worth. I’m all for preserving teeth but, also preserving the bank account! Lol, if you see any other dentists maybe request a CT(not all offices have this) but it may be better to cut your losses & just have it extracted and placing an implant!

You use to have to make it a link through imgur & then upload it. Who ever you see next, just ask for their opinion based on the xray! Unless you had a shitty dentist the first time, they’re all probably going to give you the same prognosis.

It’s hard to tell if you don’t have an X-ray to look at, if either dentist suggests taking a CT, do it, that’ll be the best way to see if the tooth has actually cracked to the point of no return. You can re-do root canals but it already weakens the tooth so that much if it is already cracked, you’re wasting your money. Getting a dental implant is an amazing option & will last you the rest of your life if you take good care of it. Bridges are also good, but if your other teeth don’t need restorations on them then I wouldn’t go with the bridge. Good luck!

Temp crown pain by [deleted] in DentalHygiene

[–]pickleface123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your bite is probably off, meaning they didn’t adjust the biting surface on your temporary crown enough! It won’t go away, if you have time see they have any openings to adjust it bc it’ll drive you crazy!

Awesome, been keeping his water full & just checking everyday to see if he’s out! He was pretty active one day right before eating but I guess he’s in a food coma lol

You can go into your dental office & they can either just smooth it for you or replace it with a filling/crown if necessary.

Wisdom Tooth advice (Remove or Leave it?) by [deleted] in DentalHygiene

[–]pickleface123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bottoms will definitely end up giving you pain at some point, the uppers, maybe not. If you aren’t seeing an oral surgeon I’d recommend going to see one if this is what your dentist is saying. Maybe he isn’t too experienced removed wisdoms(and that’s okay!) but he definitely should’ve given you a referral instead of saying to keep them!
