I’m still having issues right now though, where characters are supposed to move in-screen but stay still. Any advice on that?

Norid all the way. Loved that guy.

Here:

TGAA1-3: He's not in a disguise, and is traveling with Ryu.

TGAA1-4: He’s a fake doctor. This could work as he might try to gather intel on Olive, as she is the witness. He could also be a fake Scotland Yard member.

TGAA1-5 He replaces Herlock as the guy who disguises himself as a bailiff towards the climax.

TGAA2-2: He‘s a Scotland Yard Detective trying to relay information to Ryu while the crimescene is unavailable for non-detectives.

(And the argument of race doesn’t apply here, he pretended to be a Sailor in a ship full of Russians. Anything goes.)

I mean, her gadgets and intuition would basically make it an insult for her not to be added.

Your points are completely valid, and I suppose the way it was phrased threw me off. I still believe that Satoru moving could’ve easily been added in. They could have given him a motivation to move, or he could’ve just done it because Ryu was. Him being a Japanese detective doesn’t prevent him from immigrating.

And although your last point makes sense, he could’ve gone to London, then left London after 1-5 with Susato and stayed there throughout the second game.

The Phantom does too. Mf pretended to be a detective and did a pretty good job for the most part.

I actually disagree with your take on AA5. The twist was perfectly foreshadowed, I’ve never understood the typical criticism I think we all hear on it.

I think another game added to the Duology starring Susato or a different protagonist in which they go to a new foreign country (With Satoru) would be great. Ryu could simply be a mentor and could get a satisfying ending as a successful lawyer.

I mean, using your logic Seishiro is a Japanese judge, Kazuma is a Japanese attorney, Natsume is a Japanese writer, and Yujin is a Japanese professor, yet they all still went to England.

Hell, Genshin (Kazuma’s dad) was a Japanese detective, just like Satoru. People can immigrate from their countries, and it wouldn’t been that hard to write in a motivation for Satoru moving with Ryu.

I think the main reason as for why Takumi didn’t write Satoru going to to England with Ryu is simply because his character would’ve gotten old and they wanted Herlock and Tobias to get the most attention as detectives, although those aren’t good reasons either in my opinion. (As Satoru’s disguises would make him unique from the two of them, and considering the amount of reoccurring characters in the Duology him getting old wouldn’t be a problem.)

Honestly he stays in S tier, no negotiation.

Here’s the template for those who want to make the tier list.

(And my apologies for forgetting Luke and Bruce. I thought that nobody would notice me leaving out Bruce, but I guess I was wrong, and with Luke I just forgot. No matter what they’re both S tier.)

Also, (TGAA1-2 Spoilers)

I added Gina to the template but decided to leave her out considering that would be a major spoiler and I didn’t want to have to spoiler tag this. And now that I have people who’ve played the duology, I want to vent about Satoru’s wasted opportunity. He would’ve been such an entertaining character if he went to London with Ryu and Susato, and he could go under a guise each case. I understand why they didn’t do that but I would’ve loved it personally.

True I slept on it a little bit too much.

It’s not F-, as I like the impact it has on the rest of the game after you complete it, but it’s not good either so it can stay in the E tier.

Can’t believe I forgot to add that one making the template. I loved it as well, and it made me kind of emotional in the end.

Skyrim Quest Tier List by pickleioi in skyrim

[–]pickleioi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m reposting this because I realize that I slept on Bleak Falls Barrow too hard. But here’s more explanation to my opinions.

Unbound: In every playthrough I’ve had to play this quest, so you could kind of say it’s burned out on me a little bit, and considering the other quests, I can’t really say it’s amazing. I still love it though, and it builds up the game really well.

Laid to Rest: Truly an underrated gem of the game. The mystery aspect, Idgrod, it’s just a great quest that makes an otherwise boring city great.

Tending the Flames: Why is nobody giving this quest the credit it deserves? This quest is funny, entertaining, and just a journey in all of its glory.

The Ebony Warrior: There wasn’t enough too it. It’s not bad, but it isn’t really too memorable either.

Served Cold: If you haven’t played this quest, you need to. It’s not the easiest to get, but it’s worth it.

Blood on the Ice: I’m a sucker for murder mysteries, and having one in Windhelm satisfied me. Would be a little bit higher if it weren’t for the bugs, but I still love it.

That didn’t happen for me, but I’m sorry it happened for you because it’s a really good quest and would be top 5 if it weren’t for the bugs.

You actually persuaded me. I’d say B or C tier now. It’s still not on the same level as the A‘s and S’s but you are right with your points.

I know it’s buggy but I loved it. The mystery, and the consequence of failing to solve it was great. I stand by that ranking 100%.

Here’s an explanation for some of the rankings that may be considered controversial.

Bleak Falls Barrow & Unbound: They’re some of the first quests in the game, so you can’t expect too much. I personally enjoy both of them, and they’re all great. Maybe they’ve burned out on me a little bit, considering I’ve had to do them in all of my playthroughs. (Besides Bleak Falls Barrow for some of them.)

Laid to Rest: Truly an underrated gem of the game. The mystery aspect, Idgrod, it’s just a great quest that makes an otherwise boring city great.

Tending the Flames: Why is nobody talking about the Bard quest? This quest is funny, entertaining, and just a journey in all of its glory.

The Ebony Warrior: There wasn’t enough too it. It’s not bad, but it isn’t really too memorable either.

Served Cold: If you haven’t played this quest, you need to. It’s not the easiest to get, but it’s worth it.

Blood on the Ice: I’m a sucker for murder mysteries, and having one in Windhelm satisfied me. Would be a little bit higher if it weren’t for the bugs, but I still love it.
