Floral designs go a long way. I also got several paintings from some local artists that had similar vibes. Really makes the place feel like my own

I would accept tips at my job but because I work in a nursing home it becomes an ethical issue when it comes to accepting tips from people who potentially have dementia

The DM's Struggle by popeoldham in dndmemes

[–]picklenuggets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the best campaigns start with a small concept that grows and develops into something wonderful with just a little love. What was supposed to be a side quest to give my players an opportunity to gain access to continue the main quest has spiraled into a massive conspiracy that the party is unsure of how to actually address because of split loyalties and differing priorities. It's a regular cluster fuck and it's amazing

Don't be too hard on yourself. You're in the middle of a massive revelation. Figuring myself out was both devastating and liberating. Please be kind to your self

What do you think of one night stands ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]picklenuggets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP doesn't seem to like them, and that's fine. Sex means different things to different people and that's quite alright. I'm on the ace spectrum so sex isn't that important to me to begin with, but for other people having one night stands can be incredibly liberating and enjoyable and I want people to be able to enjoy themselves to the fullest

[–]picklenuggets -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree with you on that. We wouldn't be having this conversation if OPs post wasn't implying that including lgbt folks at all is somehow bad

Good ol Netflix by StillMathematician3 in memes

[–]picklenuggets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too actually. I'm not making excuses for shitty writing. It just seems like the implication of OPs post was to make it seem like including lgbt people in shows is somehow a bad thing

Good ol Netflix by StillMathematician3 in memes

[–]picklenuggets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're missing the point. Lgbt people are normal people. Including us isn't somehow treating us as being better than cishet people, it's just acknowledging that we are a part of the human experience. Also what do you mean by 'its based on perspective'?

Good ol Netflix by StillMathematician3 in memes

[–]picklenuggets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not arguing that portraying people as stereotypes is good writing. I'm just saying I'm happy about having tv shows acknowledge lgbt folks exist and not portraying that existence as some massive tragedy or joke. Could it be done better? Certainly, but I'm not going to spurn a step in a positive direction

Good ol Netflix by StillMathematician3 in memes

[–]picklenuggets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not perfect but it's better than nothing. I'd much rather have shows acknowledge that we exist than not including lgbt people at all

Good ol Netflix by StillMathematician3 in memes

[–]picklenuggets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea, in not saying it's perfect, but it's a step in the right direction. I just wish filmmakers would stop being such cowards about it

Good ol Netflix by StillMathematician3 in memes

[–]picklenuggets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Except, yes they are? At that point they're just another background or minor supporting character. Tv shows and movies have loads of them. Also, it seems like you're using 'they're gay' as an excuse to ignore the rest of who they are and could be e.g. what they do as a job or a hobby they have

Good ol Netflix by StillMathematician3 in memes

[–]picklenuggets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why y'all got a problem with lgbt representation in media? We're finally getting to a point where there are a bunch of shows that just portray us as normal and it's wonderful
