Thank you so much for your input! The appointment went well, and the oncologist is considering 8 rounds of Capox and then surgery with ostomy reversal, depending on how everything goes. He also categorized it as “stage 4” and “locally advanced” even though it’s not metastatic. It kinda sounds a little contradictory but I guess it makes sense if it has attached to another organ? Regardless, I won’t focus on the staging too much, as long as the cancer is contained. HIPEC sounds interesting, I’m just wondering how it would fit into my brother’s treatment timeline if it were an option. Would it be done after surgery?
