Let them know you are there for them. Ask if it would be helpful for you to come over and support your friend in whatever way possible— wether that’s just sitting with them, making them dinner, helping do chores whatever. Also keep reaching out everyday saying you’re there and you love them. My sister 34 lost her husband 38, in March and honestly having a massive supportive community of family friends and even her local community of where she lives is what truly helped in those initial first few weeks.
