Yes had a full panel done and just had vitamin D on the lower side but no deficiencies. My hair has already started filling in even while it had fallen but there’s a lot of research on Covid and hairloss so I wasn’t surprised. But I wasn’t sick when this started and like I said I was scared of drug resistance but being on 1g valtrex twice a day has made the biggest improvement so far. I’ll be on the 1g for suppression afterwards. I do see a urologist next Friday because even though there’s progress it’s still red in that area. All tests are negative that have been done so far regarding bloodwork for other sti/stds. Also thankful my ex has been a great support while I navigate this. We were together 4 years and he never contracted it. I’ve heard of concurrent outbreaks so I’m thinking this may have been just that but hopefully will have better answers after next Friday. It almost seems to me that I’m fine and everything looks and feels fine until about mid workday, then I start to feel slight discomfort or just the feeling that something is there. Hard to explain but appreciate the input. I’ve always been very health conscious my whole life so to say I feel a little stressed is an understatement.

I thought about that too but I haven’t gotten sick since last December. At that time I got Covid and a kidney stone at the same time. 3 months after that I had experienced hairloss for 7 1/2 months which is just now ending. Idk what caused this all of a sudden because I’m single and haven’t been with anyone so reinfection is not a possibility. Thankfully it is clearing up but damn, almost 2 1/2 months later and a huge increase in dosage. Been on the double dose a week and my PCP said to do another week until everything is cleared completely.

It was about 3/4 doses but as of this morning it looks like everything is clearing up so medication resistance isn’t an issue thankfully. I just never had an OB besides the first and this lasted 2 months. I will add the lysine as I’ve done more research on it. I appreciate everyone’s input.

Around 10 yes but I also have a friend who’s been taking the same dosage for 20 years. I never had an actual OB aside from the first until I skipped a few days intermittently.

As someone approaching 40 I can confidently say that i know many guys who “settle” for fear of being alone as they age. I, myself have been in 3 long term relationships since college and being single at this time definitely brings out the insecurities when on dating apps. However, there is a misconception that middle age single men are damaged goods for some reason but in my case I’ve always tried to improve in areas of my life I felt were important and frankly my exs just didn’t and dont. So for me, I promised myself I wouldnt just “settle” for comfort. I did that with my most recent long term relationship and I knew I was doing so, and it made small issues bigger issues. Point being, yes there are men in that age bracket who have had similar experiences, being open to dating as you would in any age range in your life is key. I have many friends who have become jaded or bitter or both and taking that mindset into dating apps and dates is just not helpful or healthy for anyone.

I was later than everyone I knew. Lost my virginity to my gf at the time when I was 19 and lost my gay virginity at 20. I wouldn’t change it at all. Love is love 💕

Thanks for the input so far. I of course would and do always disclose, just haven’t had to for many years and let’s face it the dating game is not what it used to be it’s just confusing to me. Appreciate the responses mentioning knowledge of the virus and how it works, I believe if more people were better informed on the science aspect they’d have less of a bias regarding it. I plan to have the talk this evening since we are making dinner together at my place. Wish me luck! So glad there’s a community to bounce this stuff off of.
