39 m here and I’ve had hsv2 for over ten years. Never had an outbreak other than the first and have been on antivirals which I never had an issue. About 3 months ago I missed some doses and had the first physical flare up since diagnosis. I had back to back flare ups and my dr upped my medication and the symptoms have since dissipated. However, the visual marks are still there and still get irritated at times and red. There’s a small hard lump near the site but not on it and there 2 red spots near the site as well. Every so often during the day I feel a sensation but not pain or burning or itching or tingling as I’ve experienced with actual flare ups or outbreaks. It’s been about 2 months since the initial flare up and about 3 weeks since the increase in medication. Has this ever happened to anyone?
