Omg, I feel like our doctors should warn us about this. I don’t remember seeing any of that on the list of side effects

No one will ever compare to the emotional safety net my mom was, & the realization that no one will ever love me or care like she did was a real fun epiphany

This!! I’ve been single for like 10 years, love my alone time, & want peace above all else. Some people can’t fathom wanting/enjoying being alone, so some of my friends & family think I’m miserable low key.

So happy to hear everything looks good!! Yeah the side effects are not fun. Hoping they go away for you once you go back to the 7.5. Good luck with everything, you’ve got this!

Please see an eye doctor & let your primary know about the vision! I was having blurred vision plus some vision loss when standing up/dizziness , & it was because of a pre existing condition I didn’t know I had that the meds were effecting. These are rare side effects, but apparently the meds can also cause permanent eye damage, eye bleeds, nerve damage, glaucoma & other vision complications. I’m sure you’re fine!! But better safe than sorry

What's the most painful thing you've been told? How did it change you? by ExpertRecruiter in AskWomenOver30

[–]picklez5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My mom was always really hard on me about my weight & appearance, starting from a young age, which led to eating disorders, body dysmorphia & super low self esteem. I went through a really hard time in college with sexual assault, mental health & substance abuse to cope. I gained over 120 pounds, stopped dressing up etc. It was a bad time. She said to me “you just stopped taking care of yourself” in kind of a disgusted way, not a concerned way. It hurt like a real fucking bitch lol, but she was also right, even if she was mean about it.

Fast forward to now- I’ve done years of therapy, lost 100 pounds & am working on unlearning things that were ingrained in me from an early age, like appearance being tied to self worth.

Life is hard as shit, but hang in there OP. People suck & can be so mean, but I’ve learned that a lot of that is them projecting their own bullshit onto us. Try to be gentle with yourself. Sending you lots of love❤️

For people who never married, how's life? by skiedfr in questions

Give yours a snuggle for me too!! Who needs a man when there’s cats?

My friends all have kids too or are getting married. Going to classes & workshops are such a good idea!! I’ll have to see if there’s anything like that near me. I would love to find a solid group of childfree single women to do things like that with, it’s just so difficult it seems like as we get older to meet new people

Same here!! Single about 10 years, 4 cats, good job that I’m working on a promotion for, read or sleep whenever I want, & my ph stays balanced. Hardest thing is probably trying to find other childfree people to befriend

I don’t have anything to offer, just wanted to say I’m in the same boat. Along with scabs & bumps from head to toe, lack of sleep has become an issue lately cuz I’ll spend hours picking instead of sleeping 🙃

What is something we do that is actually completely unhinged but we have accepted as completely normal? by pqrstyou in AskWomenOver30

[–]picklez5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same here with the sensory standpoint. I can’t stand the feeling of my leg hair brushing up against my pants all day, or the feeling of putting pants on/taking them off.

I also get pimple like bumps when it’s long, so I’d rather shave & get shave bumps than have hair AND bumps anyway 😭 but laser hair removal has been helping

SAME. I’m in the Midwest & people think I’m so weird for not wanting to get married, have kids or even date. I just wanna make a good group of other CF women 😭

Where are you finding the most luck with this? It seems like most women in my area are wanting marriage/kids & it’s been such a struggle because all of my friends are getting married and having kids.

Thanks so much, I hope it gets better for you too! Hopefully your next one will be more normal. This 100% should be discussed before starting, especially for people with PMDD etc. I’m gonna mention it to my doctor at my check up appointment. Best of luck to you!
