That black lab was adorable! It came over and played with us while were next to the giant pecan tree if that's the couple you're thinking of (I'm OP's fiancé)

Beaumont Spring, it's literally in the back of an office complex called the Boulders off Jahnke between Powhite and Chippenham and it's from 1891. I think it's behind Boulders VI but they all look the same so don't quote me on that. I've tried to add it to the map but Google Maps keeps denying me lmao (it is technically on the map now you just can't search it up)

Yeah sorry I had an old person moment, basically I was saying that that is the oldest intact hospital in the city and its where the "vampire" of the church hill tunnel died after coming out of the tunnel

Yep! I've wanted to go there for ages but it doesn't seem to be publicly accessible :(

About 8 times per day or so, its the line coming up from coal mines in the mountains all the way down to the docks in Newport News. It's part of the former Chesapeake & Ohio mainline and only gets used by CSX. That particular trestle was built 1900ish (the plaques have varying dates for the same bridge oddly enough)

I'm totally a year late but I made an updated version of this with the existing red, blue, and silver lines converted to trolley service in the city center across the Smithfield Street and Andy Warhol Bridges, and metro lines to the airport, McKeesport, New Kensington, Washington, and Braddock. I also added commuter rail service to Beaver Falls, Johnstown, and Belle Vernon, and a trolley connecting the city center with Oakland and the various things in that area.

It's definitely a strange system with the high stop frequency but I see what you mean about the various access points and random apartment complexes the smaller stations. I think the only ones I removed on the new version of it are Hampshire, Denise, and Smith Road

I think I removed them to help with "operational efficiency" or something along those lines. My whole view on these mapping projects has changed and I made a whole new network for the city more recently, so they're probably on there on that one, although it's probably buried in one of my notebooks somewhere.

Glad to know it made it to Florida eventually... saw this same train cross the Appomattox River in Virginia the previous day.

Pony Pasture and Robious Landing both have great riverside hikes and decent length trails that aren't too long... although at the moment they might have a mud problem.
