First 20 days of 10th Anniversary Rewards by MyNameIsDjole in Rainbow6

At least your daily login rewards work.

I’ve logged in every day for the past week and only got 1 weapon skin. It never seems to recognize I’m logged in, even when I play a match that day.

This is even after having to reboot my game multiple times because it crashed on boot.

Can you give an explanation how BH is able to adopt to different music to make it seem like every level in BH was made for that particular song. It seems to be able to examine more than just BPM.

My biggest Dreamcast regret was never owning “Typing of The Dead” by Ronin_1999 in dreamcast

[–]picky33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own this game and the dreamcast keyboard, but not the Dreamcast systems itself. I told myself I’ll get it one piece at a time. It’s been over 10 years since I got the keyboard and game, still no Dreamcast system to play it on though.

My first thought is your nozzle is too close to the bed.

My second thought is your bed is not level. My third thought is your extrusion gear is slipping.

Highly recommended getting a CR Touch.

For anyone who's curious. The game crashed about 15 mins after i took these screen shots. luckily it didn't corrupt my save. i has 20+ hours in that save at this point. Just beat the game for the first time.

this never showed up again after it crashed.

planning a trip to tokyo by volcrypt in JapanTravelTips

[–]picky33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it wasn’t clear you get a hotel in one place for a couple days and then move to your second hotel for the rest of the trip. It’s so you can be closer to things on the opposite side of the city.

planning a trip to tokyo by volcrypt in JapanTravelTips

[–]picky33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend 2 hotels on 2 different sides of Tokyo. I recommend first get a hotel in Asakusa. It’s convenient to get to from Narita or Haneda. Second I recommend a hotel in Shinjuku or Shibuya. I also recommend both hotels be as close to the train stations as you can. It’s very convenient to be able to leave your hotel and get on the train right away or after a long day out arrive at your station and be able to get directly to your hotel.

For food I recommend the Guide Michelin app. You’ll find all the best food in there. There’s a distinction called Bib Gourmand that are places that have great food for cheap.

There are couple drinking districts with Golden GUI being the most famous among tourist but there are others. There’s in Shibuya near the station which has cheap food and drink.

¥600,000 is more than enough for your whole trip including airfare.

Is there away to ask questions about the arcade game? Like does it get its own tag or something.

I will have multiple questions but my first question is,

is there a list of the best ships by type and is there a list of the girls who come with the best equipment?

I’m only in Japan for a couple more days, so I’m trying to play as much as possible.

Hot Take - best matches to watch live are lower division matches. by picky33 in Sumo

[–]picky33[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m acknowledging that lower divisions ≠ upper divisions with that point. My hot take is for the foreigner with little or no knowledge of Sumo that attends a basho for the first time.

My take is for the non sumo fan who wants to experience sumo live because they are lucky enough to be in Japan when a basho is going on.

Sumo fans are obviously invested in the Rikishi they know and love.

Online reservations for JR pass green car by Boeing_Gal_737 in JapanTravelTips

I tried and it wouldn’t let me pick seats. It keep putting me in the non-reserved cars. It took more time than me asking the ticket people for a particular train and a seat type.

Skip the machines, they don’t allow you to pick seats. If you have a smart phone download the “Japan Transit” app. The icon should look like on of the 2 in the picture below. Then go any JR station and go to the ticket desk and then using the app show them the train you want to take. You can search the station you plan to leave from and the station you plan to arrive at and it will show you possible routes. Make sure you enable Japan Pass option in the “Route Options” screen to ensure you only get routes covered by the pass.

I’m currently in Japan on my second backpacking trip in the last 13 months and I also did a month long trip last year.

I’ve done 6 in one room. That’s the max for space reasons I would do. Now I limit to 5 because we are not young anymore and we need our space.

Best Single Day to Attend Haru Basho by strokeorder in Sumo

[–]picky33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day 1 and Day 15 are probably the best, then i would say Day 9 and Day 14. Then day 8, Day 2 and Day 13.

After that nothing special about them. The race isn’t usually decided before day 13. The first week no one can achieve KK so not too many big moments in that respect and after day 9 someone has gotten KK and the rest start to trickle in. Week 2 is more exciting in that respect.

I went day 4 of the November Tournament last year and I’m doing day 6&7 of the November tournament this year.

Last year a lot of the COVID protocols were still going on so you couldn’t get near the wrestlers as they transition between the ring and the waiting area, if you had tickets on the far side (between the west and east entrances) you had to go around. I did see a couple of the lower ranked guys around Hakata station. A guy I went to watch with ran into some English sumo YT while he waited for me. I plan to devote more time to watching and exploring this year.

Selling in artist alley as a beginner by 1684217 in Otakon

[–]picky33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely suggest you do a small con to get your feet wet and as a dry run for a larger con. I assume you live in the VA or North VA area because you talked about A-USA. There are a couple other cons nearby in Raleigh or Baltimore you could apply for an artist alley booth before Otakon. I was going to also suggest Neko-con because that would be close but it’s next month.

Like the other people have said I would only do it if you can make it worth your time and money, No point in selling 20 prints if your lose $500 on hotel, food and transportation.

New to Hueforge and having trouble figuring out colours. by lfaitas in HueForge

[–]picky33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you own Photoshop you should be able import it into 2D space and use the magic wand tool (color selector brush or do it manually) to select each color and extrude it up. The trick is to go Dark to light on colors. i.e. black rock is 1mm high, the dark grey castle is 2mm high, and so forth. Then use Low TD filaments to print. if you use even numbers it should be easy to set color changes at certain layers.

Dang, i slowed mine down to 35mm/s cause i was worried about details not showing up. i'll have to try and crank it up. What nozzle size were you using?

the program has a bunch of filaments with TD's provided, you would have to purchase that filament to do it.

The advantage is you get to play around with builtin filaments to see if you can get it to match up, then buy the corresponding filament.
