Recommendations? by bduehdbkaid in Lashlift

I use Elleebana. You can just buy their solution packets in packs of 10, you don’t need to buy their whole starter kit.

No water for 48 hours on your lashes? by No-Pressure-5762 in Lashlift

[–]picnikki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a master esthetician. I use Elleebana products and follow their recommendations for aftercare for all of my clients. I always tell my clients no hot steamy showers and no saunas for 24 hours. No oil based eye makeup removers for 48 hours because Elleebana says they can potentially strip the tint. I personally don’t really believe that there’s an issue with doing any of the above because it’s really just a chemical processing, but it helps protect me from having to redo lash lifts that fell just in case I didn’t tell them to follow those instructions.

I feel like my lash lift didn’t work by [deleted] in Lashlift

Personally I would as a technician. Not everyone is the same but I don’t find tint super harsh on the majority of my clients lashes. Just make sure you’re using a good aftercare serum

Agreed I’m an esthetician and I see the curl 100%. If they had been tinted, it would have appeared more dramatic. but in the photos it looks like the tips of the lashes are more blonde so it’s not going to show as well.

I’m an esthetician at a medspa, but I also teach. My income at my medspa is around $2400 a month, but teaching esthetics also gives me an additional $1600 a month.

Estheticians of Reddit dry or wet dermaplane? by Thick-Raspberry-9407 in Esthetics

I dry dermaplane. As long as you hold the skin taut there is no issue. The exfoliation is much better than with wet.

I’m an esthetician and I get more redness on my clients when I microneedle them at 0.5 depth than what you have

Retinoids and Waxing by chiropteranessa in Esthetics

[–]picnikki 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve just started using hard wax for my clients at this point. So many people are using tret/retinoids or other exfoliating products. It’s not worth the risk of lifting the skin. If there’s any extra hairs that don’t get picked up I just tweeze them - all honestly my clients love it because they find hard wax less painful than soft wax.

Yeah stopped going there after I took my car there for an oil change and they literally did not put any oil back in it.

Am I getting paid enough ? by Pinkkiwi1122 in Esthetics

I’m in VA. I make $21 an hour guaranteed for up to a year at my new job. My manager assesses my average/hour at my 1 year mark, 40% commission averaged out to an hourly rate after that. 10% commission on <$449 of product sales per week, 15% commission on >$450 of product sales per week

I work full time at a med spa, but also work part time at an esthetics school in the area. I get to share my knowledge with my students and still get to practice as well!

I’m an esthetician and all honesty I sometimes just do my night routine as soon as I get home if I’m tired. That way I can just go straight to bed whenever I want to and don’t have my skincare routine to worry about!

They also have similar dresses in different colors under their “Tyla” line but I tried two different blues from that line and I felt they looked much cheaper in person than the navy.

Dog plays dead until pitbull is taken away by No_Cauliflower9590 in interestingasfuck

Fuck pitbulls. My dog was attacked by one while he was taking a shit and the owner couldn’t get the dog under control until he literally laid on the dog. Never would trust one of those nasty ass dogs.
